Anyway, let’s see the Ls pile up at this rate. Could be what many of us having been hoping for, with a high pick finally.

He's 3 games into his pro career (he's gone straight from major-junior to the NHL), there's a wart or two, but they'll disappear soon enough (as long as we keep playing him). He's also only 19 and hasn't finished growing and filling out.

It was a straw man and it was rightly called out

Oh yeah. I forgot about that. Should be a few hours of my life that I won’t get back.

Right now he’s playing timid because he’s clearly being coached (and over-coached, likely) to keep his game simple. His game isn’t simple, and he shouldn’t be playing this way.

It’s a small, small sample size but these first few games of Zayne’s utilization is a knock on the coaching staff in my eyes.

He’s a peacock, you gotta let him fly.

Pair him with Weegar.
He’s a boy playing against men though. You can see he has talent that no one else has. But other teams are going to start running him every chance they get after tonight. He’s physically under developed because of his age. Teams are going to take advantage of that.

That's part of NHL development for all young players. Lane Huston is much smaller and he's managed just fine playing against bigger, stronger men. Parekh will be fine.

I mean, you say this, but everything I have seen both by the eye and by the stats claim otherwise.

Does he get some nice zone starts? Yup.

So does Cale Makar.
