I mean, in the long run one team is clearly more skilled. I'm not saying they can't beat them, but it's an uphill battle to put it mildly.

Talk about a harsh judgement.
Zayne is a great player, playing under bad circumstances (coaching-imposed, probably part of a plan). Once the coaching gets off his back and he gets to play his game, you’ll see.
Right now he’s playing timid because he’s clearly being coached (and over-coached, likely) to keep his game simple. His game isn’t simple, and he shouldn’t be playing this way.
It’s a small, small sample size but these first few games of Zayne’s utilization is a knock on the coaching staff in my eyes.
He’s a peacock, you gotta let him fly.
Pair him with Weegar.

They are coached and play to take no risks.
Boring, low event hockey that really relies on Wolf allowing 2 goals or less for them to have any success.
You could see a couple shifts in the third after they got down 3-2 where Parekh looked like a different guy because he was actually skating the puck up and taking risk.
Hopefully Huska doesn't try to make him boring.

Absolutely. Too much talent. I wouldn't be concerned about a one season slump. Maybe they can catch lightning in a bottle here and finally get a top 3 pick.

I have a feeling the Flames get Schmid as their backup in the near future.

GOAT!

Only been watching since about 5 mins into the third... but here's what I'm seeing:
- Sissions is a chicken-winged POS
- Our D in general has gotten really good with their breakout passes. Almost all of them are hitting square on the tape
- Zayne Parekh is really, really good. Like really good. Insanely good. This guy in his prime is going to be something to behold.

It’s the most Flames thing to do. I hope we don’t see it continue. Get the kid with Weegar, and keep him with Weegar. Let him develop with him.

Deserved better, still a pretty good game. The Flames were great through 2 periods.
