Didn't Vancouver try to move him last year before his extension / NTC kicked in and they couldn't work anything out, now with him locked in some team is going to pay through the nose?

I may be misremembering the extension part but I can't see anyone spending what that phony trade had for him.

That would be a really good return for Petterson considering what his play has been the last few years and his contract.

The year before the contract, they had a deal in place to get him to sign the contract.
