If it is done, I’d expect it to be in that $7.25M range, which is where Toews landed on a 7 year deal BUT he’s also older.
So it wouldn’t shock me to see it be closer to the $7.5-$7.75M range.

Not a chance he signs for that term or dollar amount.
Lowest will be 7 years 7 mill in my opinion. Probably will be 8 x7.6m

To me that would be a mistake. His points alone dictate he shouldn't be paid a killing. He's a good skater and breakout passer and that's important but $7M+ for recently being a 1/2 ppg player? I dunno if that's the best use of coin.

He's only 26. 3 years younger than Toews and same point projection and Toews didn't breakout until he hit Hanifins age.
He's getting a comparable deal to him maybe better. Keep in mind Toews also is playing with a generational defender in Makar that makes things easier for anyone.
