Just watched the highlights from the Canuks/Coilers game. It really does look like Draisaitl doesn't push the puck into the net, it looks like he pushes DeSmith's pad that the puck is under into the net. Can't seem to find any angles of the goal that aren't as bad as possible for actually seeing it, though.
Also, that was a pretty dirty slew foot by Eckholm. Fitting right in, I see.

What a wonderful Saturday. Jets took the Panthers to the woodshed for my visit, had some amazing fish and chips by the water at the forks, got a whole aisle to myself on the flight home, and landed in time to watch the bums in Edmonton get their 2nd straight L of the season. To debris being chucked on the ice, as a cherry on top.

I thought he pushed DeSmith's pad into the net as well - was never even brought up by either the commentators, nor HNIC (you can rest assured that if that was a Flames goal, there would have been an inquiry).
Then after the game, they had a fairly lengthy discussion about whether the late interference call on McDavid was warranted. Like are you fricking kidding me? He put his shoulder into the guy. If you want to debate a call involving McDavid, how about the one where he hugs Joshua and Joshua gets a penalty for it?
HNIC used to have a biased slant towards the Oilers (and Leafs), but they have just stopped pretending and have gone full on homers this year.
