Singh is not running away with his riding. My kid really likes him. But I always thought he came across as likeable but a bit unserious.

Yup, the right wing crazies who vote on social issues will vote conservative anyways. Fiscal right, social left is the balance I want

I know this is a left wing country but I am shocked the people voted LPC after SNC and Blackface.

I just don’t get it. I really don’t.

Plenty of time to debate this, but as I said above about the type of guy the CPC needed, and think about it more, he would've easily done better tonight than Scheer. The offensive on Trudeau would've been much more cutting, to the "shock" of the press but to the delight of many others, not just Conservatives, who want to see a proper attack on an egotistical and hypocritical PM.

He would've had to defend his gay rights comments and actions prior, sure, but this election goes to show how previous misdoings (blackface) don't seem to hold as water as people or media dramatically think so or vote on in the end.
Not saying they would've won, but if Kenney or someone from the CPC came out guns blazing at Trudeau, there would be a lot more doubt in some of the fence sitters minds not just about Trudeau, but also positive about the guy who would be launching the offensive.

Exactly. Wouldn’t have changed a damn thing for Alberta’s outlook. Nor will the UCP. Instead we’ll just continue to be the national embarrassment to anyone who displays anything progressive or somehow think that separating will solve our problems. I mean, that will literally make it impossible to get oil out of this province.

It's weird how much May hates the NDP.

Hold onto your wallets, the Liberals are coming for it.
For the record almost every riding here with the exception of a few in London were won by the conservatives so it wasn't all of Ontario. Want to blame someone for the loss here, blame Doug Ford.

The NDP won’t. The Bloq will if there’s something in it for them. But why Scheer? I don’t think he’s very interested in it at all.

Actually it was moreso Quebec dairy farmers who became short term Conservatives to stop Bernier from winning. Trost was the social conservative candidate.

You realize people who work there also don’t think it will be built right? Probably not everyone obviously.
