What momentum? Pedestrian effort considering how big they need a win tonight. There doesn't appear to be any indications that they appear willing to put in the effort to score a goal tonight. Easy shutout so far for Halak.

I don't disagree.

The team is wound so tight right now, it is going to take a pure garbage goal at this point to get them off the schneid. How often does Gaudreau just lose the puck when he is carrying it?
The good news is that they are getting a solid performance in goal, and are still skating well. They will rediscover their offense eventually, but wow, this is frustrating to watch right now.

Yes, that is a fully grammatically correct description of tonight's game.

Is it a little early still or would it be possible that Hartley's job could be on the line?

The only player with less ice time tonight than Bollig is Grant. Bollig is sitting at 6 minutes of ice. Hartley isn't playing Bollog much.

Kind of reminds me of when the team struggled under Brent Sutter. Overly gripping the sticks and all the fun sucked out of the game. They don't look anything like the happy go lucky club of last season but losing will do that to you.

The coach of the year isn't going to get fired, so yes it's too early.

7-0 shots to start the second then Hamilton the Bollig both put the puck over the glass. Flames were controlling the play up until then.

They don't mean to put it over the glass. I agree with Hrudey, I hate the call.

Yes we have. We haven't had any sort of pressure. What good is a bunch of rushes up the ice when we dont even get a shot on net and the play goes the other way?
We have absolutely nothing going for us right now besides the fact that Ortio has been decent (but awkward, Probably just nerves)

At this point I'm not even a believer in the third period magic. Shutout coming up for Halak.

If you are Treliving, and you are evaluating how to improve, do you see Hartley as the weak link? After you just had the confidence to sign him to a multi-year deal?
It's a mental issue with this team, I'm not sure firing Hartley is the way to fix that.

That was last year. Let that thought go. Hartley has done awesome but he's very demanding and could be wearing on these guys. I think it's a valid idea.
