Right now he isn't really standing out from the players on his own line, let alone anyone else on the ice. Players that do get shuffled into the top 6.

Not saying he has looked bad, but nothing in his play has given me an indication that he should be playing top line minutes.

Not denying his potential, and I know this is going to generate a lot of overractionary heat but...Baertschi, as of what he has shown to this point, is massively overrated on this board.

I totally agree that Brodie had a bad game against the Avs, but so did everyone else. Butler consistently plays like garbage. I think Hartley likes playing the veterans more than the kids, and the first time they do something wrong, they get punished- but his system isn't working. He has no trust in the kids but blind trust in the veterans. Jor has played like cuca with the exception of a couple of games, but he's on the first pairing. I don't understand why he plays Comeau so much either. It's not conducive to trying to improve this organization. I'm not trying to start an argument. I just don't understand Hartley's method.
