I know people hated Irving for some reason here but he could make basic plays like catch the puck when it hits you in the glove. Taylor has dropped easy shots right in the glove at least 2-3 times one leading to a goal against Phoenix. He kicks rebounds into the center of the ice like crazy and seems shocked everytime the puck hits him because he seemingly is a second or two behind the play all the time.

Irving got screwed by some terrible defense and the mistaken thought by many fans that this was a decent team. He isn't leading the Flames to the promised land but he isn't relying on the defense shot blocking almost every shot to prevent goals like Taylor is out there.
