I just don't seeing a scenario where he can stay seeing how he's lost the confidence of the fans and has brought a great deal of ridicule to the franchise. As dysfunctional as things have been in Edmonton even they realized that they had to get Lowe out of the GM chair if for nothing more than PR (seeing you could still argue he's still pulling the strings).

That is shocking. I guess they really should have waited.

Just like if the Flames choose/chose to send McDonald down to Abby, the Wings would have first dibs.

Source on that? That doesn't sound true at all based on my understanding of the CBA.

Well, if O'Reilly could've been had for a 1st and a 3rd through trade, Feaster would not have signed him to an offer sheet.

Even if I am the AVs someone should be fired.
Can you imagine someone catching this and letting it play out?

Fully agree. At this point the only way to make the PR worse ( if that is possible) is by keeping Feaster. This topic is not just going to go away overnight.

Should Feaster be fired, by whom. The very same small group of individuals that approved, helped and supported hatching this plan.
Yesterday it was overwhelming in favor of the offer sheet "great move Feaster" etc etc were the majority of comments. I didn't hear 1 caller on 960 even hint that they did not like the offer sheet.
If Feaster is to be fired before anyone the one who should be fired its KKing the King of deflection in the Flames organization JMO.
Should Feaster be fired, yesterday he was the Flames Messiah today chopped liver.

No, I like his style and hope the Flames keep him onboard to finish his plan.

Reason: let him trade the lottery pick for a playoff run first...

Yeah I agree.
The difference here is that the Avs wouldnt have lost ROR to waivers but to an offer, whereas MacDonald was lost on waivers therefore allowing the Wings first dibs if he hits the wire again.
At least thats how i understood things to be.

No it doesn't. The Aves matched... had they not it might have had an impact but by virtue of them matching it has none.

Sorry, you can't troll fans who have already been trolled by their own team.

Well as an Oilers fan, you should have a pretty good grasp of what plans dont work.

Calgary is higher on the waiver list than Colorado as are a few other teams...you guys are just making stuff up now. No way do they get the picks and the player. Calgary would have to give up something to get him off their RFA list and they would do it because otherwise he goes to the BJ's

We must be in trouble if he's posting again. Last time I remember of him was 04 and those blog posts on how Darryl Sutter and the Flames were ruining hockey.
As for the question on hand.... Yes. Massive blunder.

Has Feaster said anything yet?
He should have siad something by now.
The only reason i can see that he has not said anything yet , is that he is in a meeting with ownership.
