Thing is, Singletary probably forgot what he did on the walk through anyway.

There's a story from a couple weeks ago where reporters were asking him why he punted in a certain situation, and he couldn't remember the sequence, and then tried to fake it but talked about a different sequence.

But yeah, McDaniels of course knew that it was done, with or without his permission, long before he told anyone.

Also, the Jets beat the Patriots and were in all of their games against the better teams. They got blown out by no one. Falcons are 3-2 against .500 teams. Saints are 2-1 against .500 teams. They are lucky too, because they lost to 2 bad teams and by your logic those don't tarnish your reputation. By the way Jets and Pats have same schedule and same record. The Jets haven't played the Steelers yet and the Pats haven't played the Packers yet. It's pretty much a wash. I think the fact that no one has a great record againt the other elite teams goes to show you that maybe there's some sort of parity at the top of the league.
People can find certain stats to prove any point.

Two factors that I think are important to look at:
-Strength of schedule.
-Point Differential.

My point was simply that I don't understand why the Jets losses against elite teams at a combined 10 pts. hurts their reputation more than the Pats, Saints, etc... losses against crappy teams. It's a pretty ridiculous notion in my opinion.

Hall of Fame nominees at running back in the semifinals:

Curtis Martin, Jerome Bettis, Marshall Faulk, Roger Craig, Terrell Davis

Who gets in?

I think Davis gets left out. Simply didn't compete at an elite level long enough.

The other 4 all have good arguments.

Was Craig the product of an all around amazing team? I think that might hurt him and he still won't get in.

Faulk... 10th all time and multiple super bowls. I think he get's in as he is 4th all time from scrimmage as well.

Bettis... 5th all time and super bowl winner. I also think he gets in.

Martin 4th all time and 8th from scrimmage. This is kind of the point of my post. Wasn't flashy, but only running back besides Sanders to have 10 straight 1000 yd seasons to begin career. He definitely deserves to be in, I just don't know if it will be on first ballot as he didn't draw a lot of attention to himself. Little know fact Martin didn't really like football that much. He saw it as a means to an end. He didn't watch a full game on TV until he was 30. http://www.postgazette.com/pg/05014/441889-66.stm

Ellis Hobbs likely to retire after his latest neck injury. Too bad because the guy is so young, but it's probably the best decision.

Oh look, the Giants are yet again getting stomped by a team with a winning record. Most overrated team in the NFC by a mile.

This review in the Green Bay-Atlanta game will be interesting. Call is short of the goal line on the field. Gonzalez catches it but is bobbling it a bit as he's bringing it back out of the endzone.

I don't think they can reverse it unless they're really slowing it down and looking for something that's not there.

EDIT: Call stands but Falcons walk it in on 4th down anyways.

Tied it up. Manning is playing without his top 2 receivers as well.

McCarthy must get free donuts if he doesn't use his challenges. I am a Saints fan and I want to punch him, I imagine the Pack fans are apoplectic.

It really is! The Packers drove 90 yards without being able to run the ball at all. All Aaron Rodgers.
