How delicious would it be if they lost the next election due to the vote split and wanted to merge and reboot, but can't change the name because of their own dumb law?

If they weren't total morons they may have considered that and had a sunset clause. Force the NDP to appear undemocratic by renewing it and blocking and opposition from forming. All loads of bull####, of course but it only seems to take a skid mark to convince team blue voters of anything, despite reality.

One would hope that the PC types learned their lesson this time.

Really the Tories are gonna have to get organized PDQ. Guthrie should be calling everyone who was someone 10 years ago that didn't cross over. The campaign managers, staffers, strategists... everyone with an extensive rolodex... they need volunteers, fundraisers, star(ish) candidates. Everyone who can stand in front of a crowd or camera and credibly say "wouldn't it be nice if we had some some sane professionals back in charge again?"

Alberta's government plans to test out a higher speed limit on some rural divided highways next year after the results from a recent survey suggested most people in the province are in favour of the proposal.

The Alberta government said it collected around 59,400 responses from an online survey conducted between Nov. 7 to Dec. 12, and that 68 per cent of respondents voiced their support for increasing speed limits on rural divided highways from 110 kilometres per hour to 120 km/h.

More than 90 per cent of respondents were also in support of restricting commercial trucks from certain lanes on major highways, the province said in a news release issued Tuesday.
Here's another distraction from our clownshow, let me guess they polled Rural Alberta to get their data from.

Its ####ing curling!!
Curling has a pretty high gender disparity at the top level. As rinks get good at judging ice conditions and weight, the strength to through heavier and straighter, as well as the sweeping power carrying rocks into better into position and under cover makes a huge difference. There are almost 3 completely different strategy books for mens, womens and mixed curling, because the types of throws that are possible are just completely different.

I'm guessing similarly for pool there is some gender disparity at the highest level that we are just unaware of and don't understand.

Those facts in themselves don't mean that we should accept the UPCs fake culture war problem designed to distract up from the fact that they are lighting our money on fire constantly, to make sure they can keep their heads as deep in the sand as possible on anything that feels to liberal to be true.

I didn't think of that. They have locked themselves forever into being the United Conservative Party, even though there is now a second Conservative Party.

Move videos coming out of the NDP. I really hope these are getting eyes on them out in the wild of Alberta.

Alberta Next released their report. On a Friday afternoon. Before the holidays.

https://calgary.citynews.ca/2025/12/...commendations/

Quote:
Among the key recommendations is a call for two referendum questions on future ballots. The first would ask Albertans whether the provincial government should exercise greater control over immigration.

The second would seek approval for Alberta to collaborate with other provinces on constitutional amendments to protect provincial jurisdiction. The proposed amendments include shielding provincial areas of authority from federal interference, allowing provinces to opt out of federal programs without losing associated funding, permitting provinces to appoint their own King’s Bench and Court of Appeal justices, and abolishing the federal Senate.

what. the. ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

The longer the UCP is in power, the less I am joking about abolishing Alberta and rolling the cities under BC. The Easter rural ridings can go to Saskatchewan and Fort Mac can be given to NWT.

The people are demanding referendums on staying in Canada, defunding private education, and stopping coal mining. The UCP look at that and think "we should have referendumbs on race wars and consolidating more power that we clearly shouldn't have".

Nicolaides is dreaming of a White Christian ethnostate
Just like the U.S. fascists that he knows (Ooh)
Where the treetops glisten and children listen
To hear ICE sirens in the snow

Nicolaides is dreaming of a White Christian ethnostate
With every email that he writes (Ooh)
May your days be full of stress and fright
And may all your Christmases be White
