Would be a smart trade. It’s essentially trading a veteran Coleman for a prospect version of Coleman. They seem like really similar players.

Would Tampa need to send cap back to make it work? The only reason why they aren't in trouble at the moment is because Paul is on LTIR, but if he comes back, they would be over the cap (I think).
O'Reilly would be a nice return, but isn't he also the only prospect they have of real note?

Probably dreaming but I would be over the moon if a retained Coleman brought back Conor Geekie even if Calgary had to add a bit. When you look at what a late bloomer his brother has been I feel like he could turn into a piece we can really build around. Hard to see Tampa giving him up at 21 as a player they can easily send up and down though unless he is pushing for a move/unhappy not to be playing. I guess if he plays 12 more games in the NHL he loses his waiver exemption too so they will have to play him or cut bait next year, maybe even 8 more games only if playoff games count.
