Damn, and here I forgot to bring my Jersey. I'm in London right now, I've been up for 26 straight hours so now I am using the hostel's free internet and cheap beer (£2 for a Stella) to post this.
As CP's unofficial european representative I will post pics up in a thread later. I did bring some Calgary Flames carflags that will mysteriously appear all over the place.
I will be supremely steamed if you guys get champagne when I'm not there.
I will also say thank God I am out of down during Stampede. One more year and I was going to go on a homocidal rampage.

It nearly happened last night - our best defensive effort of the year. We almost threw Aeneas out at first from the outfield fence. Aeneas and flamesinyouryres - both traitors. Thanks to Temporary User for helping out. I think he could be promoted from Central to the big club.

I think we gotta give him some more time to develop. Let him take some of the lessons learned from last nights game and chew on them in the minors for a few weeks. Then maybe we'll give him another look.

That was a ton of fun last night. I really hope once the season is over we can get the teams together and play a winner take all for the CP Cup. Sounds like SW may have our hands full with these young upstarts from Central.

I see that Good Times will be without their star players soon. Both Chris Reitsma and Ryan Radmanovich have been named to the Canadian Olympic Baseball team! Maybe now some of the teams will have a chance when playing them.......
Maybe we can get a re-match???

Yes that was fun. The first game was very exciting. Poor Obs thought it all looked familiar when Yogi and The Boo Boos jumped out to a top of one 7 run lead. But Swing, baby, anchored by Obs, SportsJunky, and Aeneas' stirling defensive effort, held them scoreless the next three innings.
Swing's 5th string pitcher settled down, the offense came alive. Swing Baby gave up a few runs in the 7th to trail 13-11. Two outs, runners on one and two, down by 2... 3 run homer off the top of the fence and over!
The second game was Swing, Baby vs SW puckers (with a few extras). Fun game that apparantly came down to the bottom of the seventh also...due to some creative scoring by the Puckers!
For those that didn't come out to the pub after: be afraid. We practiced the drinking games that will destroy us that August camping tourney. We will fine tune them some more on sunday!
Obs: five
Aeneas: six
Terry: seven...crap
All: TERRY!!! Drink!
Yes, troutman I nearly had the most embarrassing moment of the year. Thought I hit a home run down the right field line. Looking into the lowering sun, I thought it bounced over the fence. Our league has all homers as "walk offs." So, I started to walk off. A nice relay throw nearly got me at one, after I realized the error.

What's the girl sitch today? Chid texted me that she can try to get off early if we need a girl. Also, I have a couple of friends (a male and female) that are going to come out today and they want to play if we are short. I think they only have one glove between them though...

Whoa there!
I thought I read a post from Chid saying she switched shifts and would be playing this week!?! Anyone else remember that? Or was it an email?
I thought we had Rinkrat, Banffgirl, and Chid.
I emailed Shauna just for the hell of it.
Jamie flew down to Nashville, so she is out.

I think Aeneas is getting the pink scarf today. I put a lot of thought into it and I think for betraying his team he should have to bear the pink shroud of shame for the day.
