I didn't understand the dialogue between the governor and the advisor guy, when they got back to town. The gov told him what was going to happen and the other guy said, but that is a slaughter, what was it the gov said?

He replied with a comment about how it wouldn't be their people getting slaughtered,

Clearly leading up to some sort of confrontation between Nerd and the Governor. I predict that the Nerd dies trying to stop the Governor, but creates a moment of weakness that Michonne or Rick takes advantage of to finish the dictator off.

Hopefully Andrea gets finished off too, but I digress.

My money is on Andrea getting caught either trying to sabotage or escape Woodbury, Governor makes an example out of her to the town folk.

before that, he was saying "Rick, Mearl, Daryl, Glenn", I think, insinuating that they were going to attack, maybe. I couldn't understand it.

For all those that love Andrea so much:

EW: We last saw Andrea standing over the Governor with the knife and not being able to go through with killing him. How pivotal a role is she going to play going forward?

Kirkman: The rest of the season really is about what Andrea is doing and how she's handling this situation. The scene where she stands over him in the bed is really the beginning of her plan and what she's going to be doing and why she's doing what she's doing. The fact that she wasn't able to kill the Governor is really going to play in to a lot of the upcoming story for the rest of the season. Andrea is in a really horrible position. She has relationships with people in Woodbury. She knows there are good people there. She knows that the Governor is instigating a war between those people and other people that she has a relationship with that she also knows to be good people. She's kind of stuck in the middle and can't help either group win because that would mean the destruction of other good people but she's going to have to do something to try to make this situation resolve in a way that not too many people get hurt. So that's really what she's going to be trying to do moving forward.

Wow. that was totally the talking dead. Fell asleep 20 minutes in, tried watching it again and fell asleep 10 minutes later.
hahaha

It's like the Flames. One game good, one game bad. What a waste of an episode. It could have been done in 10 minutes.

One huge thing the TV series missed out on was giving us a background story on the main characters, a pre-zombie look. Too late to implement that now.

You would have to think she does as she walked in on the carnage right after the govenor and Michonne had their little scrap. Didn't they (Andrea and the Gov) gloss over it somewhat an episode or two later?

Really, knock back one of these next time:

I enjoyed it, it built the characters. The show is not just about smashing Zombies. It is about the characters struggles with this world. Enjoyed D and other buddy chatting. You see they both realize they ain't so different.

It was a good show.

Interesting episode centered mainly around a sit down between Rick and the Governor.
It was pretty clear the Governor just wanted to see what kind of man he is up against.
I was relieved that Rick saw through the fake offer.
I am hoping it ends up being Michonne ends up being the one that slices the Governor for good in this looming battle.
Particularly liked the scene where Rick tells Hershel "we are going to war"!
I was hoping that Andrea was going to notice the sidearm taped to the bottom of the table. Exposing the Pirate for what he really is.
Interesting Zombie showdown between Daryl and Martinez.
Still think Merle is going to frag someone in the back like Glenn during this battle but Maggie will shoot Merle just in time.
Or i could see Daryl being the one that puts an arrow in Merle.

Merle is such an incredible character, and you really hope that somehow he will just magically reform himself to being a good socialized person that can work well with others. Nah, he's just a cancer, and will probably die soon. I think Daryl will be the one to do it, too.

lame. There wasn't much smashing zombies the week before and it was 10000 times better than last nite's episode. How much character was built yesterday? We already knew what the Governor's about when he slaughtered the army guys. and rick's character has been around for 3 seasons. what more is there to build with him?? hahahaha

lame episode is lame.

We saw a lot from Milton and Hershal, that was my favourite. Darryl and Ceaser's interactions were goo too. It's not all about Rick and the Governor.

Then stop watching, it's that easy.

If the show is not what you want or like give it a miss.

I think you also saw the start of Hermey's transformation into the new world.

I think both Melvin/Mervin and Andrea will be dead before this season is over. The advisor has seen enough and won't follow the Governor much longer. He will die defying the Governor.

Andrea needs to make a decision and, in keeping with the idea that the writers are going to try and redeem her somehow, she will become a martyr saving her old group from the Governor. She will die a hero vindicating and redeeming herself in her final moments and I will never stop vomiting for how cheesey, predictable, and utterly unrealistic that turn will play out.

At least one other member of Rick's group will also die. There's only one black character left - Michonne - but I think the writers keep her around for awhile longer. I like Glenn so hopefully it's not him. Maggie would have a large impact so she makes sense. Hershel is sort of expendable. His crooning daughter is probably the most likely target though, especially in light of Rick's question to Hershel about sacrificing his daughters to save Michonne.

Merle will either do something selfless to help out Rick's group and set up a scenario next season where we see a bit of a transformation to Good Guy Merle punctuated by a few instances where we think it might just actually be Same Ol' Merle when he does or says a bunch of dick stuff. Either that, or he gets blamed for the death of someone in Rick's group but really isn't at fault. Gotta keep the tension around Merle and the rest of the group. I can't see them killing him off because he's such an awesome jerk.

Martinez and Daryl will meet again. I guess it will end in the reluctant death of Martinez because they aren't killing off Daryl. This past episode humanized Martinez so we can feel bad for Daryl when he has to kill him later. Both are badass albeit reluctant soldiers fighting on the front lines and doing what needs to be done.

No clue what happens with Tyrese and his group. It's like the writers forgot about them. I bet we'll see them again before the season is over.

I think we will see Morgan again too. Hopefully, he rides in to save the die when Rick calls on the walkie talkie for help because that would be really cliched and lame and I would laugh with derision at that part.

Finally, I hope that above all else we can put the Woodbury story line behind us and turn our attention to long-term survival and more zombie killing. (walkers > biters)

I totally think we will see him again. In fact I am willing to guarantee we see him again, and no I didn't search the internet. ALthough I am sure it is out there.

Yeah, I thought it was a great episode too. Some good tense parts. Nice to see Glenn and Maggie get everything sorted too.

To answer the back and forth between a few posters on the last page, I believe the Governor was telling Nerd (haha, I like that) that if the group does come to bring Michonne that they should take the chance to kill the ones bringing her in, but to make sure they get her alive.
