I have to think they had someone lined up that dropped out at the last minute. I don't want to believe that they have left it this late without finding an act.

I think it likely boils down to Henry or Logan for the game on Sunday and I think if Henry is good to go, you gotta go with Malik. Philpot has done a fine job returning punts/kickoffs.

They actually only "released" the lower half, middle-ish sections of the upper bowl. I can't remember what the lower bowl seats there, but hopefully they can get to around 30k at least.

Actually, it looks like ticket sales are going very well and the Lions might be pushing 40K on Sunday.

Grey Cup Halftime Show announcement coming today. Supposed to be a little after 5. I've heard it's a country act.

Yeah, I'd say there's definitely some truth to the CFL hurting so badly financially after Covid losses that they were genuinely struggling to put a real act on at half time.

Jordan Davis seems to be the biggest act. He's got 3 or 4 singles with 28-50mil views on youtube. The other two are mostly in the tens to hundreds of thousands of views.

Tyler Hubbard is half of Florida Georgia line. Which is a massive duo. But alone not a huge draw.

Sounds like the Argos will have Andrew Harris back for the east final next weekend.

I like it. Having Henry back in on the field takes a lot of focus away from Reggie who had really stepped it up in the last few games. Carey and Mills in the backfield, a lot of weapons at the Stamps disposal, Maier just need to be a game manager and I like the Stamps chances on Sunday.

What would it take to bring Mark Cohon back as commish. I think he was the best CFL commissioner in decades and did a lot to grow the league. Randy has proven to be a major bust. I had such high hopes when they first announced him, but he has been a real let down.
When I see the things that guys like Stern and Doman are trying to do, it makes me shake my head at how useless CSEC is. They have zero vision or creativity when it comes to marketing and branding. All their sports properties play in the oldest and dumpiest buildings in their respective leagues, they need to do more to lure fans to the games. Even the Flames are no longer selling out every game. The only good thing about CSEC is that they can always pay the bills and keep the lights on. In regards to being engaged and active owners, they pale in comparison to what the group led by Forzani was doing when they owned the team.
