To be fair, I think Rasmus has PTSD from playing with Gio all season. It clearly must be getting to him.

I was hoping by this point in the season that a Valimaki-Andersson pairing might have materialized, but that’s probably not happening anytime soon...

And to think I was laughing when Sens went full tear down.

Dorian has accumulated some gems. Future is bright for them.

Cannot say the same for the mess we are in.

How do you turn this around quickly with 3 or 4 big moves?

#### this current team. Treliving built an awful roster. He's gotta go.

I was a big Andersson guy, he's chirpy but I like him. After this he can go too.

Make Them.

That's pretty much it.

New players + Draft picks + More opportunities for existing players = Changing the cycle.

Why Sutter doesn't just bench all the guys who fail to engage (what, me...hit?) is surprising. Maybe he's just figuring it out still. Take away their PCs and lock them in a room so they can't be playing Fortnite until 5 am daily. Maybe?

Bring up kids from the Heat. Something.

Well at least Lucic. Go figure. He at least looked engaged. Also, he hits. Slow as molasses in January, but at least he hits. The others? Just unengaged. Tired, and overpaid.

Not happy with this crap. Not even sure I'll watch the next game.

^^Thought about this earlier.... I have friends that play it all night and they are hooked with all the tourneys and stuff every other day.

Difference being that Phil Kessel also played with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Notice how Phil Kessel’s career has essentially fallen off a cliff now that he’s THE GUY in Arizona.

It’s pretty easy to be your absolute best when you have one or two elite centers to make your life easier whereas in Arizona, he probably has to generate everything himself on the wing. Too difficult of an ask for wingers.

I’m suffering from whiplash looking at the trajectory this team was on in 2018-19 to where they are now. Coaching aside, Tre has tried to plug holes and shore up the team every off-season, but the moves all seem to have backfired (except Tanev)

Was the loss to the Avs really that devastating that it destroyed this teams’s confidence?
Was Peters so toxic that the boys are still recovering?
Did things come too easily too early for this core?

I like the Sutter move and this team still has some great pieces. But its hard to have any optimism for this franchise right now.

Watching the 2nd goal over and over again because I’m still not sure how the hell it went wrong. Gio got pushed a little but also totally whiffed on the puck to clear it. Lindholm was playing Center yet covered the point guy and left Tierny alone. Rasmuss screened Markstrom. Yet Markstrom is down too early and didn’t move at all hoping to utilize his size. And Johnny lost a battle because of how soft he is, but to be fair was at the end of a long and fast shift. Bennett was the only player who isn’t at fault on that goal.

I’d love to know what happened to this team during the all star break in 2019. They were rolling right along dominating the league and then the all star break happened and they have been a #### show ever since!!

They didn't have their confidence destroyed, they simply got exposed. They were a team that were having career highs from multiple players and built a huge cushion up in the first half of the season. Then when it mattered they showed what they really were. The fact that they were not a legit team was apparent and massive changes should have begun in that offseason. Our GM is enamored with his project so it didn't.

Highest paid players can't generate offense consistently 5 on 5.

Can't compete in this league if that's the case, it's that simple.

Wasn't that the same time when the purple drink was stopped? Someone may have rained on their parade.

I have said it many times lately.
JG, MT and a few others are hot garbage at 5-5.
JG scores a goal, and then what? Disappears.
Call the season a wash and trade the guys who wont play.
