Yup.

A hard pass, towards your own net, when two Knights are lingering in the zone. Just complete panic and he even admitted it.

FFS it always seems to be something with this team this year but it’s all stems from the PP. The special teams being horrible means they have too thin of a margin to win every game and this is what happens.

I think I need to stop going to the games and watching altogether for a while. Except for Smith, Gio, JG and Tkachuk the coaches and the players can eff off.

When I heard the call on the radio I assume that he threw it back there and it surprised Smith who booted it out a far distance but right on the stick of the Knight player.

But when I watched and saw that he threw it back literally as a Knight was skating towards that spot - I too can't grasp what he was even trying to do.

He isn't a guy that normally panics. There were so many better options. Literally anything would have been better than what he did. He could have grabbed the puck, shoved it up his bum, and ran out of the arena with it lodged up there and it would have STILL been better than what he did.

Tkachuk, who I think had a great game.

Coaching is clearly letting this team down. This team should be doing better than this.
I was watching Gallant all game and he was engaged with the players, patting them on the backs and talking to them everytime the camera panned over. He looked intense on the bench. But you just know the players are playing for him.

Camera pans to the Flames bench and it's GG with his head down watching the floor monitor, Gaudreau looking like he's going to cry and no one talking. At least the trainer's son looked like he was having fun.

Just piss poor leadership from the entire team. And not just the coaching. No one on the Flames bench looking like they have it in them to make a comeback. Just heads down, like a bunch of defeated school kids.

Perfect time to call a timeout. While it might not have resulted in a goal, it gives the team a chance to collect themselves. Nope. Our coach saves his timeouts just in case he needs to challenge a goal. That is exactly why he does not call timeouts. Serious question - has there been a time out called at any point this season? Our coach puts on the same line that just got scored on. Our coach 'asks' the players if they are fresh, and of course they say they are.

All game long I imagined we had the other GG behind the bench (Gallant). I imagined the team as skilled as we are, playing for a coach like him and hitting their potential.

We have the wrong GG behind the bench.

Love Tkachuk but he makes a lazy play on that game winner.

Marchessault is his man coming out of the neutral zone and he just lets him go one on one with Gio. Provided absolutely no back pressure.

I have been harsh on Gulutzan and the coaching all year, but I feel the players need to shoulder tonight's result.

No coach tells their players to play the puck back like that, at that stage of a one goal game. No coach draws up getting clean beat off the ensuing face off to give up hope of at least one point.

For all that skill, it's not the coaches fault they can't lean on skill and get at least a goal or 2 in every 10 tries on home ice.

Maybe the flames just aren't skilled enough to be a upper tier team.

Offensively, they only have 1 real top line threat in Gaudreau. Monahan is just a elite pure shooter in his spots but pretty darn avg in all other facets of the game. Tkatchuk seems to be progressing top a high end player, but outside if that, maybe the forwards are just not skilled enough to be regular contributors.

Goaltending is good, d finally looking good. Inability to score, particularly cash in with the man advantage clearly is a lack of skilled players seems to be the crux of the problem. Having a rw who can shoot and handle the puck could be a the major void hurting the pp. The setup as is, creates no bang-bang opportunities that the pk needs to worry about.

Exactly, the fans had already started cheering the win! So that play, albiet a mistake, was massively deflating for the team, but especially that line. Either settle things down with a TO, or put out your next best performing line of the night and win this in OT.

That's who I thought it was. He gives a #### and is the heart and soul for the forqards. Pretty pathetuc when a 20 year ols hates losing more than veterans on this team.

Imo.. he is the future captain of this team after Gio

Trade Backlund, this team isn’t contending anytime soon. I would like some picks back or a player who can shoot the ####ing puck
We’ll see you next game Beninho. We know you can’t stay away.

Sorry Gully. All the brownie points you bought yourself with the stick throw has now run out. How you put Frolik back on the ice right after that play is beyond everyone!

How come GG couldn't call a timeout after the tying goal? What a moron!

As others have said, a TO should have been taken.

As usual, him and Gaudreau are the only forwards who bring it on a consistent basis. The rest could not be more inconsistent

Man, this team looks like Canucks that lost to us in the playoffs. Not so bad, but mentally and physically weak.
