Honestly, the Flames were playing a great third and Vegas had next to nothing going for them. That gaffe by Frolik I mean wow, I don’t even know what to say. Inexcusable.
The PP continues to be a joke and the biggest reason why they are losing these games. Like Comixzone said, they have to play absolutely perfect to win games and there’s zero room for error.
I’m ****ing irate right now. Woooooosaaaaaaa.

Our media is soft, but our radio guys are not. I'll be setting an alarm just for the sake of Boomer and Warrener going absolutely ham. Those two do not pull punches, they're not shy about going at the team hammer and tongs if they deserve it. And boy, after a choke like tonight, you can bet that they're steamed tonight and they'll still be steamed tomorrow morning.
If you're an early riser, make sure to tune into Boomer & Warrener in the morning tomorrow.

I have come to the conclusion that these games are really effecting me negatively. Going to take a few weeks away. At the end of the day, it's just a game and Frolik got paid 50k to play it.

Well I don’t know it for a fact but I just know that it’s true that Brian Burke ####ing hates this coaching staff and the way this team plays hockey.

And I thought I was embarrassed after Thursday's choke job. That was a complete joke.
They've pissed away way too many points the last ten games and gifted another team in their division points.

I have re-watched the Frolik play like 10 times now, and I still have no idea what the #### he is thinking.

I hope the NHL invites Treliving to the draft lottery. I think it should be mandatory for GM's of every team who missed the playoffs to attend the lottery.
Hope now as a Flames fan is that we make the playoffs and lose in the first round.

It's not like it's unusual for Smith to try and do a little too much back there.
Frolik obviously shoulders the brunt of the blame for his play, but that was a strange, strange rebound for a good goaltender to be kicking out.
|
Think he thought Brodie was going to reach out to play it on his backhand but Brodie kind of double clutches and pulls his stick back in. Causes Smith to react late.
In a perfect world he smothers that puck but that’s a play by Frolik that can’t happen ever let alone at that point in a game.

I just finished watching. Oh man how fukcing depressing. This was just a classic GG game. All year we have watched him try the same thing over and over again expecting different results. And, to be fair, we have rare flashes of brilliance. But c'mon, if lines aren't clicking, try juggling them! If the PP isn't working, tell the special teams coach to get his #### together or take over yourself! If the team is reeling from a bad gaff settle them down! If it's the players not doing their jobs, bench them for a shift! All year, the same thing. He's head coach for fs. C'mon man!

I will have to disagree about pee wee. My son is in novice hockey and he knew right away what Frolik did is a big no no. Something his coach has been telling his novice team to be careful of since the first game of the season.
I agree with everything else though. Even if you are tired as hell that is not a play you think about. Put it to your corner if anything.
Frolik said he was passing back to Brodie.. who passes back to a d-man who is standing right in front of your goalie? and with a bit of pep too boot. What if it deflects off Brodie past Smith because you passed it quite hard? Plus the Vegas player was right there. Only time you pass to someone even remotely close to your own goal there better not be anyone from the other team within 20 feet or even in your own zone.
To me this as bad as Russell's own goal earlier this year but at least be was being spun around and fighting for the puck. Frolik had no one even touching him and had full control of the puck. Terrible.

Maybe he should tell his team mates they are supposed to shoot at the other teams net while he's at it.....

I totally agree. The Morning Show tomorrow will be a must-listen. Exactly what one should aspire to be in journalism.

If the following play had gone the other way, commentators would be admiring GG for letting Frolik back out there.
Brutal way to lose, infuriating as all hell. But that was a collective group ####-show, pinning it on Frolik being out there after his error is not very accurate in my mind.
|
I think the point your missing is that the team gets rattled and the coach doesn't call the time out. Throwing Frolik back out there with no time out when the team was rattled just led to another quick goal.

Love the Brodie and Frolik shots at Smith costing this team points. Un ####ing believable, complete bush league. I’m done. Taking a few weeks off from watching this #### storm
Trade Backlund, this team isn’t contending anytime soon. I would like some picks back or a player who can shoot the ####ing puck
