I honestly think it’s what they need though. Gully is a wilted flower out there, and I’m sure his player utilization is frustrating even for the players themselves.

I agree, they need a tough coach. It may be hell and it may ultimately have a shelf life, but I feel like a coach who is a clear leader gets this team to push through to another level. Sometimes you have to be uncomfortable to grow.

I somewhat agree...at the time it was signed it was the going rate. Had he been up last summer he would have got more.
that being said I often wonder what his point totals would be if he didn't have to completely drive the offence for his line. Ferland has scored some goals for sure...Alex Chassion put of a few in that spot too.
Mony has the finish but can't carry the puck

Well how many players liked Scotty Bowman...but he usually got the job done and the players got rewarded as well.

Edit: and why don't we wait until he scores multiple 30 goal seasons before anointing him a 40 goal man. Sure he might do that once in his career, but he is what he is, a 30 goal scorer.

Mony isn't paid like a top tier #1 center either though...if the Flames spend their cap space properly they should have a depth advantage. Top tier #1 centers make 10M+
Mony, Backlund, Janko, is pretty solid center depth...Right wing is hurtin

I think someone has his latin phrases slightly mixed up.
de facto maybe, or possibly certum est quod certum reddi potest.
Personally I prefer incertae sedis with respect to #23.
Yes, I studied Latin and apparently loved it.

Well that was a dog's breakfast of a game - fortunately had a friend from Edmonton visiting us in BC so I didn't have to waste too much time on the game. I knew as soon as it went 2-1 that was it. No fight left in this team sadly, at least not under the constraints of the system that GG wants them using.
Funnily enough I saw #44 on the ice at one point making what was a good rush, and turned into Ferly's goal and said to myself "Who's that?"....forgot all about him. Possibly for good reason.
Not sure what this team needs, but can't see Tre doing anything about the coaches until there are more options on the table - which is why maybe we haven't seen any coaches fired yet this year. D Sutter seems unlikely, as does a return for Hartley, and Tippett would not likely step in for this team as an interim coach.

Well it’s apparent “good guy Gulutzan” is so nice he can’t motivate his players. The dressing room is one big happy family, great, unfortunately that family dynamic appears to make them terribly soft. Not saying we need a coach who screams and yells 24/7 but a true leader who demands respect and gives the team an identity. That is not Gulutzan.
