Calgary didn't play a physical game at all so it's not surprising that they struggled. They only seem to play well when they're banging everyone.

Flames are confident on winning back home.

@EricFrancis: Bloodied beak and all, Mikael Backlund just guaranteed a Game 6 win: "There's no way we're losing at home."

@ThomasDrance: More Backlund: "We’re up 3-2 and going home, loudest building now that Winnipeg is out in the NHL, so we’re going to take energy from that.”

Calmed down a bit. It's a good learning experience for these guys that even though they have a good lead in the series they still have to show up. Thought they started well but fell off a bit.

I have complete faith in this group that they'll win Saturday. It will be more fun to win it on a Saturday night in front of the C of Red!

Disappointed we got away from the things that worked well for us in Games 3 and 4. Speed, relentless forecheck and winning puck battles. We looked off in many ways.

Good news is am confident we can rebound.

Rather than dwell and be upset am going to take a total break from this series until pre game on Saturday.

Talk about giving Vancouver bulletin board material - who does he think he is, Messier? Dumb ass.....

You don't need to be Messier in order to be a good leader. Thats what he's doing. He's being a good leader.

Like that "dumb ass" Gaudreau who guaranteed playoff dates with several games left in the season.

The confidence is good and understandable. Did you not see how the Flames ran the Canucks out of the building in Calgary the last two games? Clearly not.

a) I've never believed in Bulletin board material
b) If Vancouver needs this to pump them up in an elimination game they're going to lose
c) Good for him, show some swagger and determination.

Our PP didn't capitalize on their chances tonight, couple of bounces here and there and we could've pulled a win today.

Otherwise I don't see Canucks winning here Saturday. Their road games have been far far worse than ours.

Honestly I don't think that was too bad an effort against a team with its back against the wall.

I truly believe that this team just learned what it takes to win a fourth game and obviously their effort tonight wasn't that.

I believe in this team and I think they'll take it on Saturday.

EDIT; just noticed N-E-B basically posted the same thing. At least it's not me just seeing this.

On a positive note, I'm going to be at an all-inclusive in Punta Mita on Saturday, so I can get absolutely wrecked while I watch the game, and maybe find out what a Mexican jail cell is like.

Flames lost one game and a lot of people are panicking already. Flames only need to win one game and Canucks need two. Game is in Calgary on Saturday and we are going to rock the Dome. I sort of expected that we might lose tonight but still hoping for the win.

They play at home on Saturday so it means we got the last change. Expect to see Jones-Stajan-Ferland line against the Sedins line. Also Papa and Mama Gaudreau are probably going to be at the game so you'll see Johnny getting a big jump on that game. Their line are probably going to be match with the Horvat line or even the Bonino line. I really think Flames will finish off the series at hime.

Guessing he got warning from the refs to calm down his play after he got that B.S penalty. He was definitely out there with his normal linemates. Home teams usually always going to get the officiacting edge.

Flames played fairly poorly, Canucks played their best, Flames still lost by only one and could easily have tied it and won.

A decent effort in Calgary and they are fine.

Well, there was that little 2004 thing. That wasn't a change?

Either he gives hockey speak and says" Yeah, it'll be a tough game for sure"
Or he can pump the team and its fans and apply some internal pressure to make sure they come out of the gate flying.

Yeah, we didn't play a physical game effective enough to neutralize their pressure. I'm confident we can win on Saturday if they follow their strategy in game 3/4.
