Not a USC fan, but Bush was better, Leinart equal.

Which explains him being #5 in passing this year.
|
The fact that he isn't allowed to pass much or make difficult passes explains his rating. His passing game is sheltered thus making his stats look good when watching him you see a ton of possible plays left on the field because he can't make the throw/read. A little bit like Kevin Glenn in the CFL.

He has never been given a chance by Fisher. Once he or Fisher leaves the Titans he will become a better player.

He hasn't shown much in terms of on field intelligence or off-field intelligence that he will ever get better. Just doesn't have the mind or desire to learn the game whether Fisher is there or not.

And now back to the thread at hand. On what planet is the league's longest serving head coach going to be replaced for an immature QB, who may have all the talent in the world, but had a $2 brain??

you really think he is that good? Pro Bowl voting is a joke at the best of times, Brett Favre was a pro bowler the year he was a Jet. Winning % is overrated, he was on a well coached team with a good defense and a running game... Best college player ever, since when does that translate to the pros? Jamarcus Russell was pretty good at that level too... the guy will never be anything special... the dude is a dummy

If by stating facts you mean making stuff up completely then you have a point.

No one in the media nor do the former players who vote on those lists agree. Bush and Leinart don't touch the top 10 on any list.

The same was said about Vick.
Off-topic but I could have sworn you were a USC fan, you do have a bias towards them in your cfb posts. This is the one that cracked me up:

Not because of your comments, but because of mine about Mark Sanchez. Guess i never thought he'd be qbing my fav team. I will however stick by my Joe McKnight comments, still don't like him even though he is on the Jets.

I think he can be that good, but a coach has to let a qb try and comeback from mistakes. Fisher hasn't allowed Young the leeway because he doesn't want him as his starting qb. I was just saying he is not lucky to be a pro NFL qb, when you are that good in college you are going to be a pro (good or bad), it's not luck.

I'm admittedly a huge VY fan and if Jeff Fisher was Jeff Fisher I'd be blaming the coach, but as Dungy said yesterday, Vince Young is the idiot here. Fisher stands behind his players and doesn't throw them under the bus. If Young has a problem with Fisher, the problem is probably Young. He probably needs a change of scenery, how about Arizona?

That's fine if they don't. It is opinion and not fact so people can have different views. Having seen them all play Bush was better than VY no doubt in my view.

And it was true when it was said.
Just because Vick has been overrated for okay play this season doesn't mean him or Young will ever understand how to read defenses or make correct reads.
Certainly like USC, and PAC 10 teams, more than most but not a fan of them like you with Texas, DFF and Montana and PIMKing and every SEC team.

Former Washington Redskins QB, and former Hawaii QB Colt Brennan was involved in a serious car accident the other day in Hawaii. His girlfriend was driving an SUV and drove across the centre line, and collided head on with a small sedan. Only reason I heard about this story was because my mom is good friends with the woman who was driving the sedan that got hit. She is currently in serious condition, and will require a lot of surgeries for the injuries that occurred in the accident. Thoughts and prayers CP, please.

i am saying he is lucky that he has the talent to get a shot at the NFL, without that he would no doubt be struggling as he isnt that bright... Fisher knows football and if Young was anything special, he would play him all the time...

Anyone that thinks Jeff Fisher would sit VY if he thought that Young would give him a better chance to win, needs to give their heads a shake. The guy has won 141 games in the NFL as a head coach he has a pretty good idea what he is doing....if he loses a lot when there is a chance to win, he loses his job as well. (Which is why its ludicrous for anyone to suggest Frazier start jackson over Favre...Frazier needs to win games and knows his best opportunity is with #4..warts and all)
Any QB in the NFL is a leader by default, and when a supposed leader gets up and walks out of the locker room before the coach has spoken after a tough tough loss, he shows his colors in spades. Coaches make QB changes...all the time. He was injured, went to the locker room because of it. never told Fisher he thought he was Ok when he came back.
There is the whole "suicide" fiasco, the fight in a nightclub, and now this stuff. The guy is a loser who needs an attitude adjustment. When he was a rookie he was asked who his best friends on the team were and he answered "Pacman Jones" is my boy. You are judged by the company you keep and it also says a lot about your own character.
Blaming Fisher for Young's transgressions is a joke. I would be surprised if he gets anything North of 2 million a year where ever it is he ends up. He is just way to much of a gamble.

Excited! After the Flames take out the Rangers tonight, I get to sit back and watch two excellent QB's battle it out in San Diego. If the Broncos win tonight, I will have to delay putting that last nail in the coffin that contains my very hard to kill HOPE!

ESPN just reported that Vince Young is out for the season after needing surgery on his throwing thumb....but he was able to get back in the game yesterday and be effective, fisher be damned? Dont think so.

Explain to me this if you honestly think that Fisher doesn't have anything against playing VY. Fisher gave Collins 6 games last year before pulling him. 6 games in which he was terrible. Young had 3 bad quarters against the Steelers and gets benched. Did you think it was a mistake when Shanahan did it to McNabb? If so, how does it not apply to the Titans. As a coach you are supposed to let your QB try and work things out. Every Titan fan I know thinks Fisher needs to get the axe.
Fisher is living off of his teams of 6-10 years ago. He is a .500 coach in the last 5 years and would be worse if Bud Adams didn't make him start Vince Young last year. Vince Young needs to take his share of blame in this, but Fisher needs to as well.

Tennessee @ Houston next week. I am pulling for a Texan win. With VY out for the year, don't blame the Titan starting QB to be a little RUSTY next week.
Rusty Smith has been named the starter vs Houston.

As a Titans fan, I feel a lot more comfortable with VY starting over Collins. This sucks even more since this is the toughest stretch of the schedule coming up as well, so many divisional games. =(
