Not happy with the way he has been used, not happy with the direction of the team, feels a change of scenery would be beneficial. I reported that earlier in the season. I get it, the guy scored 30+ once and sees himself as a top 6 winger.

Tampa retained on the Henrique deal? Where they gonna get room for Hanifin now? They were real tight on the line (within 200k) in projected space and absorbing 50 percent of zhanifins contract ...

What is up with Cody Glass? Why hasn't he put it together? He's got size and skill. Is he poor skater? Does he not think the game at a high enough level?

I think it's confidence and a bit soft. But is the softness coming from. The lack of confidence?
He's got all the skill and skating you need.

This. He needs a prolonged opportunity and someone to believe in him. I have always been a fan of the players skill set. That is exactly the kind of guy Conroy should try and grab if he can.

48 hours to go....ugh. I'll be driving almost all day tomorrow to head to VanIsle, too.

fwiw, knowing how Pat is the king at laying groundwork for what he's hearing without tipping his hand (admitted as much as to why he was pushing back on folks that said to re-sign Tanev in the summer) he's said he could see a winger like Mang moving.
I know most of us know dissentowner is connected, but further fuel to what he's posted for the (few) doubters.

Secs said Mang has wanted out prior as well. Seems like it's the worst kept secret

They would almost certainly be moving salary out in a deal too

We should have let him go. Another poor Brad contract based on a fluke offensive year (most of the goals were in the first half of the year) which didn't show any consistency of sustainability.

Great to see Colorado loading up… hopefully Vegas does the same. Colorado still has cap space left… do they have their 2024 first round pick? They traded their 2025th for Walker.

And that spot with Backlund just keeps producing NHL calibre players, I would rather Mangiapane have no value and stick Peletier there to learn from the best while he can.

Does seem like the prices just shot up today. First round picks being traded. Top young player being moved for a top 2 center.

That just isn’t true.
He had 20 goals in the first 41 games and 15 goals in the back half of the season.
Even then he is fairly paid for what he has produced the last two seasons.

Using the standard baseline of 10 points per million in salary cap, he would be at $4.3 million last season and pacing for $4.6 million (46 pts) this season. So he's overpaid on that basis by $1.2 - $1.5 million. Does he have other intangibles that would drive his worth higher? I don't think so. So he's overpaid but not by some egregious amount.
