Are GM's busy negotiating still during this break or is it more time spent on scouting?
Conroy is using the break to go scout in person, per his recent interview with Pat on the fan 960. I believe he said the GMs will take a bit of a break from chatter and trade talks before things pick up. (interview was 6 days ago)

We've talked about Kent Johnson for years too. I would still give him a shot here. Have to think he's on the outside in Columbus given his very uneven production.
Good for the Flames if Columbus locks up Coyle, Marchmnent and Jenner. The upcoming 2026 free agent class is looking very thin.
I feel like normally we'd talk about players like Coleman/Kadri having less value because they aren't traditional expiring contract deadline rentals. But with the cap significantly increasing and a weak free agent pool, might be a different mindset than usual.
Hopefully Conroy can take advantage.

Prospects? Or is this code for going to the olympics lol
Yeah prospects.
For my money that's his biggest priority. Even if he gets a **** sandwich from the trades, they've shown they can do good things all the way to the 7th round.

I was thinking this exactly.
Thin FA crop makes players with term more attractive.
