You've got a cool black chick running around with a sword and two zombies, that reveal last season was amazing. They kill off her Zombie friends almost immediately and she never looks cool with that sword! Look at last night, she's walking around with a sword and it's awkwardly wrapped around her shoulder, looking all sloppy. There are so many simple things this should could do to improve it.

Yeah. woodbury should be the high part of the series, not the low. They ruined it by having one of Rick's group living comfortably in there.
Michonne is just miscast as badly as Andrea. She just isn't very good with that sword. At least cast some better eye candy then! hehe
that said what they did with Morgan last nite was way better than the comic!

Geez, I missed the first 5 minutes and was completely confused by the ending. Thanks for clearing that up.
Glad to get some closure on Morgan. Have been hoping he'd pop up sometime, I have a feeling he'll be back. Too much weaponry to not have some influence on a showdown between the prison group and Woodbury.
Is there a Walking dead map anywhere? I'm curious where all these places are in relation to each other. I didn't think they were that close to where it all began.

This map is from the comics so if you don't want any spoilers then don't look as it is a map up to the current issue.

Morgan sure had that town well secured with all his booby traps and impaling barricades.
I was hoping he would have come to his senses and gone back to the prison with Rick to join the group.
What was the bag they picked up on the side of the road?

Stay_Golden, it was a backpack belonging to a guy they'd driven past earlier in the day who'd screamed, begged & pleaded for them to take him with them. They drove off & on their way back to the prison came across what was left of him after some walkers had had a hitchhiker buffet.
As for the entire episode, definitely one of the best to date for the whole series.
Lennie James (who plays Morgan) was amazing - like he always is. I loved how Hardwick commented on TTD about how people online were so shocked that he was a Brit! LOL Apparently they'd tried to get him back last season but he's so busy with other work Morgan's re-appearance had to wait till last night (also why I don't think we'll see him back again much, if at all).
Am I the only one thinking they really didn't take much guns/ammo/weaponry with them tho? Seemed like they left waaaaaay more behind & that rather surprised me considering Morgan's death wish - you have to wonder how long he'll really be using that stuff.
Loved the way Michonne told Carl to settle down and stop being an idiot too - he needs to be slapped upside the head a bit more so he realizes that while he can do many things, he's not an adult yet and not as physically capable as he seems to think.
It's interesting to see the way they are changing as the zombie apocalypse rolls along - last season they would have picked that guy up and given him a chance to prove himself. This season, despite their need for more people to stand against the Governor, they're still (or should I say Rick is) pushing people away. I have to wonder now tho after his chat with Morgan whether Rick would have abandoned the hitchhiker had he still been alive. It seems that that discussion might be the turning point that helps him "come back from it all". At least I hope so - I'm tired of crazy Rick!
Lastly - that scene as they left the town, with the glimpse thru the wall of Morgan dumping the zombies he'd just caught on the mass pyre of bodies was sooooo well done. Episodes like these are what frustrate you when you know the show can be this good & instead we get things like Andrea's idiotic speech.

The Grimes family in general is trying to win some sort of award for most annoying family on television. Lori was such a pain for over 2 seasons that there were cheers of joy when she got gutted in the ugliest way possible...and still she keeps returning from the dead to haunt viewers. Rick spends half this season being useless in Crazyville.
And then we have Carl, who generally sucks because of his mumbling, expressionless line delivery, and now he fancies himself as a badass who would be dead 7 times over in one episode if it weren't for babysitter Michonne.
but that's fine, I've long ago stopped trying to find someone to "cheer" for, since basically only Daryl is awesome. hopefully the new showrunner/writers get the feedback for this episode and figure out how to do it more consistently...geez Flames fans sure love bringing that up, don't we.

This actually bugged me. You've got a 4x4 Dodge 1500 sitting at the prison, you're going out in a world that you know has blocked roads, and you take the Hyundai?

I've kind of been of the opinion that they should be collecting living people in order to start taking back the world. Thus, I was shocked when they just drove by backpacking dude on the highway. But then I thought about it, and it's such a dog-eat-dog world out there now, who's to know if backpacking dude wouldn't have killed all 3 of them just to steal the car. Cold, but probably safer to stick to your own group.
And I bet Crazy Rick is gone now (I hope). He saw Crazy Morgan and came to the realization that he needs to get out of Crazy Town now. I loved the sarcastic little quip at the end - "You'd better drive. I see people." So funny.

I actually find Carl alot less annoying this season - he's no longer running off & just randomly sucking - at least now he's useful to the group.

I disliked the "previously on the walking dead". They went too far back in the series and it was not a surprise when Morgan showed up.

I don't think engine noise would be significant enough to make a difference unless the truck was a diesel (it wasn't) or had some aftermarket exhaust. Typically I don't get to worried about realism with shows like this but it took me out of the show enough to make me realize it was for the sake of product placement.

Except all these shows this season were already recorded when Mazzara got canned. He is even doing the post production on them to finish out the season.

This is exactly how I feel. It just seems like there is so much wasted potential here.
They created such good characters with Glen, Rick and others, but now I just find them annoying. That last episode went back to the basics (normal Rick killing walkers, no Andrea at Woodbury, morality vs survival etc) and it was such a massive improvement.
Easily the best episode since the mid-season break.

LOL...I was thinking the same thing. I decided already to not watch the previously portion any more because of this. We knew right away that Morgan would be back as soon as my wife and I saw that before the episode.

Excellent episode. I'm recording it to watch again. I enjoyed this one so much that I want to see it again. I missed some things the first time around.
