Brandon Browner ‏@bbrowner27 1h
I'm not facing suspension for PEDs, it's sad that the NFL is reporting this...

Apparently it's not for PEDs but he is facing a year long suspension

Sounds like it's likely weed or something more, but not PED's.

Too bad, a fan of his in the CFL (have a Stamps jersey with his name on it) and then onto the NFL with the team I support.

He is was a FA, likely not to be back with Seattle prior to this anyways unless he took a severe market discount. That said, injury or now suspension, he's a big part of that defense. That extra second the QB has to decide whether to throw to the corner allows the pass rush and everything else to turn to change the play.

Isn't he only making half a million bucks?. Although I still think he makes more than Sherman. Are we going to be able to keep Sherman when his contract come up?

He is now, but he's a FA after this year (Browner). I think Sherman has another year left.

The main core of the roster on both sides of the ball, as is now, has this year and next before it has to start getting split.

Wagner, Tate, Sherman, Thomas and in a couple years Wilson will make a bit more than $670k (to put it mildly). Because of this, it allows them to get Harvin, Avril, Bennett etc and under the cap. Guys like Lynch as well will get paid too.

Schneider has done a stellar job of building this team through the draft, so I expect that to continue, but you've got to take full advantage when you get the roster you have. They fell 30 seconds short last year to get the to the NFC Championship or beyond, and have the best record in the league after 12 weeks this year, thanks to a rock solid defense and a smart QB with a great running back. the NFL is all about those small windows of opportunity and Seattle has their's now.

Losing Browner will cause a bigger hole because there's likley no long term replacement until the offseason. If they can find someone for the next 5 weeks, and then hopefully 3 playoff games, that's all they need to hopefully stay as dominant on defense as they've been.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's for Adderall....why? Because it's a Seahawks player getting suspended due to a failed drug test.

Well the Rams look like they pulled off a Herschel Walker deal for RG3. They could have a top 3 pick this year with how Washington is playing.

As has been said above, its been made clear that it's not a violation of the performance enhancing drug rules (so not adderall), it's substance abuse violation (as in weed/harder drugs, booze, pill addiction etc).

Worst thing that happened for Washington was beating the Cowboys in week 17 last year and sneaking into the playoffs.

The hype that playoff week for RG3 and that team was through the roof, and then Shanahan kept him in 2 quarters longer until he blew out the knee against Seattle. So, increased expectations this year for an average team, and no offseason learning the game and learning from mistakes from the QB, as all RG3 was doing was looking to rehab in time for September.

Plus, from the stories the last couple weeks, he doesn't seem to have his team behind him 100% and seems a little bit entitled. He also doesn't have the most patient coach or OC.

12 yards in offense in second half? He's a great athlete, but need a lot more than that to be consistent, and consistently good in the NFL as QB.

RGIII has been exposed for what he is: Mike Vick Jr. He cannot stand back there as a regular QB because he lacks true pocket skills, and when he takes off out of the pocket, where he is exceptionally dangerous, he's also now a massive injury risk. And his knee may never be the same after that injury last year.

The Rams could theoritically get the number 1 pick this year if Washington loses out and the teams behind them win a game or two. A terrible trade for the Redskins. The Redskins I suppose get minor for having the foresight to draft Kirk Cousins too. If they were smart they'd shut RGIII for the year right now and see what they have in Cousins.

I think the Shanahan's look clueless which doesn't help anything. If RG3 is willing to be coached I still think he has all the tools. It's only his second year especially after coming back from a massive knee injury and didn't have a camp. While he is looking like Mike Vick, I'll reserve judgement until next season.

Both RG3 and Kaepernick are dealing with the same issue, evolving NFL defenses. Once they were both thrown into starting roles, their offenses revolved around the exact same system they played in college, meaning no progression as NFL pocket passers.

Now that defenses have evolved, both offenses started moving towards traditional NFL schemes, meaning this is what they both should have looked like last year. And they will get significantly better next year.

Obvious decision is obvious, but Chip Kelly has officially named Foles as the starter for the rest of the year.

Joe Flacco needs to show a little more appreciation for receiving the worst contract in recent history and not be sulking that he sucks so much they have to resort to the Wildcat to begin with.

Quote:
Joe Flacco made very clear his disdain for the Ravens’ use of the Wildcat offense during his press conference Wednesday. Saying it made the Ravens look like a “high school” offense, Flacco sent a not subtle message that he hoped the Wildcat would be shelved for Thursday night’s crucial game against the Steelers.

“I don’t like that stuff,” Flacco said. “I think it makes you look like a high school offense. That’s just my opinion.”

Asked if he had expressed that opinion to the Ravens’ coaches, Flacco said, “They know how I feel about it.”

Asked if he expected to see the Wildcat again, Flacco said, “ I don’t think so.”
http://www.csnbaltimore.com/blog/rav...ns-use-wildcat

FYI, Flacco's current rankings:

29th in QB Rating
24th in Completion Percentage
25th in Yards Per Attempt
17th in Touchdowns
5th in Interceptions
Still paid more than Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees.

Assuming I believe that (I don't), that actually makes it even worse. At least if he's a lush he's got a valid excuse for whatever it is he just wrote.

Josh Sitton unloads on the Lions

Quote:
“They go after quarterbacks, their entire defense takes cheap shots all the time,” Sitton said. “That’s what they do, that’s who they are. They’re a bunch of dirtbags or scumbags. I mean, that’s just how they play. That’s how they’re coached. That starts with their frickin’ coach. That starts with their head coach, Schwartz. He’s a dick, too. I wouldn’t want to play for him. It starts with him and their D-coordinator and their D-line coach. They’re all just scumbags and so are the D-line.”
