Meanwhile what are the Kleinbergs doing these days?
The biggest children charity in Canada just goes poof as if it never existed, and opens back under 2 new charities with all funds directed to these new funds. Morneau who was directly involved with incredibly shady practices including having 41K vacations paid by WE who had been rewards a 900 million contract just got a new cushy job on the board at CIBC. The ethics commissioner has absolved Trudeau of all wrongdoing as there was no evidence and his mother said they never spoke about WE, which makes it true.
https://ciec-ccie.parl.gc.ca/en/inve...au3Report.aspx
Case closed. And it was a political witchhunt, shame on those politicizing children
Quote:
In a piece authored for the editorial board of The Cornwall Seeker, forensic accountant, professor and Founding President of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association L.S. Rosen examined allegations of impropriety surrounding the Canadian Student Service Grant program and determined them to be unfounded, writing that "several seemed launched to support attacks on other politicians" and that "WE became "collateral damage" in a battle for political power."[22][23] Writing for Education Canada, Professors Karen Mundy of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and Kelly Gallagher-Mackay of Wilfrid Laurier University lamented that, amidst a crisis in Canadian education, WE Charity was prevented from fulfilling its commission, with thousands of youth volunteer tutors sidelined due to the appearance of scandal.[24] Rosen summarized, "A generation of young people lost the opportunity to volunteer and help their country in a time of need."[22]
On September 20, 2021, having been cleared of wrongdoing and despite numerous other controversies, Trudeau led the Liberal Party to reelection in the 2021 Canadian federal election.[25]

If WE could be brushed under the carpet, this ArriveCan blip will be seen as an accounting error and won't even make the media rounds to get outraged about.
Remember, ArriveCAN was about protecting Canadians, not a political wedge issue whatsoever, and any criticizing brands you as a freedumb fighter and you should feel shame for even questioning keeping Canadians safe.

What's this about Curt Keilback, the former iconic voice of the OG Winnipeg Jets and Phoenix Coyotes?

Not to mention the tax revenue that service companies paid, and the income tax from employees of said producers and service providers.

It is pretty crazy how WE just got swept under the rug as we are talking about a $900 million contract which was clearly a scam.

And to think that Canadians will care about $50 million. Hilarious.

As well in the NS inquiry the mysterious deleted tapes re-appeared and buried Lucki's earlier denial of political interference.
As well the contracts for the ArriveCan app are now being examined in I think the operations committee as things there are not adding up (IE companies named that had nothing to do with it, etc.)
The NDP is in a good position to really push the government on what they want.

Capn, you seem to never get tired posting about the Liberal nonsense. Yet, when asked about UCP shenanigans in Alberta, you've basically said "what more else can I say, I already hate them". Huge double standard.

Isn't that the same standard, only one is vocal and the other isn't?

I don’t think anyone gets vocal about their own team unless it’s a spectacular screw up.

I can't imagine anything a greater screw up than the UCP getting Danielle Smith in. I suppose if Calgary elects UCP in May 2023, that would be the greater screw up.

Are you a UCP member? Did you cast a vote? Did you elect Smith? Could you have done anything about it?
All Canadians get to vote for the Federal Party of their choosing. Only UCP members get to have a say in voting for a new leader of a Provincial party.
Are you a UCP member? Did you vote? I'm not. There is literally absolutely nothing I could have done to influence their decision regarding Danielle Smith.
Not digging on you personally, but there are a bunch of numbskulls running around taking digs at people posting in the Federal politics threads and saying "well why arent you active in the Alberta politics threads?????"
Not realizing that the AB politics threads is essentially overrun with dogs dragging their asses across the carpet.

What's there to say?
And no its not a double standard. I've already given up on the provincial politics side, and if anything my track record is I really don't get into discussing provincial government from the beginning of time. I really haven't done all that much discussion in terms of this thread for the last bunch of months besides posting the occasional link.
Of course, the Liberals are starting to get hit hard in terms of blinding levels of stupidity again.
The bottom line, and I've repeatedly said it, The Conservatives, Liberals and NDP are pretty much the same thing, gross corrupt incompetent parties more concerned with their entitlements and pensions, then actually bringing any degree of effort, thought or whatever to governing this country. We'd probably be better served by a government formed by Ming the Merciless.
