Why do you need the dollar difference? People go there with nothing but the clothes on their backs and find a way to make it.

Go ahead.

Yeah no thanks at all. Do not trust the UCP to not put their hand on the scale.

Finally, something we agree on!

It'd also just be the dumbest stuff. Most of the complaints are made up anyway so there's no way to placate them. Kinda like Trump demanding Canada stop the flow of fentanyl across the border.... You can't solve a problem that isn't real

They're saying they'll only go there if they are given the same standard of living they currently have in Canada. Not a great argument from them.

This might surprise you but on Oct 23rd 2015 the Canadian dollar was worth 76 cents US.

Had you left in May of 2021 while Trudeau was destroy the country you could have gotten .82 cents for a gain of 8%. In February of 2023 you could have broken even.

And even today you could still get .72 cents for an 5.5% loss. Now if you are invested in a globally diverse fund you should have a max of about 30-40% in CAD which makes your loss about 2-2.5% on stock.

But from 2015 to 2022 housing price doubled in Canada (yes this really applies only in Van and Toronto and to a lesser degree Alberta). Vs in the US whereas the US housing price is up only 45%.

So all things being equal after the lost Liberal decade assuming you were reasonable prudent with your money you are in a better position to move today than you were 10 years ago when Trudeau started.

So what happened?

Plus if you really believe the Canadian economy is garbage you should not be in Canadian assets anyways . And the declining $$ is money in your pocket in converted local spending power

One more reason to cut that woke stuff like university funding.

All separatists should be rounded up, loaded into a bus, and shipped to some random hickville in Texas.

Dumb ####s are not welcome in Alberta. Get ####ed and get out. Deplorables.

This is the problem with people like you, you can never be satisfied. There is no good enoguh, no compromise, and certainly no way to satisfy you. When met with people like that, they should be ignored, not attempted to be pleased, because you can't ever come to a conclusion. There are always more grievances and demands. This is why negotiating with Trump is pointless. What I'm saying is you think in the same way the stupidest person on Earth thinks, and we should in no way listen to you.
Do we really have to rehash how stupid this argument is AGAIN on this board?
