Yeah, I think the team is capped. Any more, we run the risk of paying $1,000 to sit on the bench for 3/4 of the season.

We registered late, and as such got dropped a division (from C to D south). Which really sucks, seeing as we just added 3 or 4 guys that are easily B calibre (if not A), and picked up a goalie who is friggin unbelievable. Yeah, remember two years ago when they were going to have 6 20 goal scorers?...and who can forget the race to 300 goals on the year? The off-season is Oiler fans time to shine.

Haha no worries. I'm not too sure what's going to happen to our team yet, but I was looking at plan B just in case.

And for the record, if I haven't been drinking I can put my socks on. Even tie my own skates!!!

$1000 per player? You're kidding right? or does that include jerseys and free beer after each game?

Nope, $1000 per player. The reebok edge socks had to be special ordered at $30 a pair (so $60 per player) and the jerseys are over $350 per person, but they're going to look awesome.

The jerseys must be awesome. I don't think any team I've played on charged more then a couple hundred for jerserys + $50 for socks.

Yeah but have you ever played for a team that could step on the saddledome ice in front of 19 289 fans and be mistaken for the Flames because of how good the team looks in their uniforms? DIdn't think so.

Nope, that's a good point. Actually, thinking about all the years I've played rec hockey in Calgary... I don't think I've ever played for or against a team wearing Flames colors. How weird is that?

...and the Jerseys have arrived at Cal-crests, so it should just be a matter of days for them to get the logos and numbers on.

Also, for those of us playing with the Saints as well, we have a nice double header that night. 9:30 for the Saints, and then 11pm for the Puckers (both games at NESS), should be a fun night.
