$100 donation to CP if someone would lay a hard hit on Drycycle.
Is that too much to ask for?
Not win, not a goal, a simple hit.

Darryl did say the refs had to be better. No one is allowed to question them. I am going out on a limb and say they will punish the Flames for speaking out.

The Flames gave up the 4th least amount of shots against in the league this season.

I just hope Marky continues to get stronger. We can’t have him being the worst goalie for the third straight game. We need him to outplay the other side.

The first was a fair call. The second was a clear dive. If you think you can trip a player by having a stick resting on the outside of a players knee I don't know what to say.

I'm not able to watch, but seeing that the Flames have been outshot, yet are tied fills me with confidence. Markstrom needs to be the man.

I’m not super worried about the shot total. Edmonton’s game plan is clearly throw everything at the net to try to rattle Markstrom. Clearly that hasn’t worked as I feel he’s gotten better the later the period went. A lot of low quality shots from them. This is much better suited to Calgary’s game then Edmonton’s.

Seriously dude. Lindholms stick just grazed the top of Draisatl’s shin pad and he went down. It was a clear cut dive!!

Anyone know the most shots the Flames gave up in a game this season?
|

Flames weathered that pretty well. Need a better effort in the second. Holding their sticks pretty tight. Refs sure are fans of the oilers it seems.
This team still has some demons to exorcise yet.

Not barely hanging on per se. But they're definitely nowhere near the level of play they can execute at. Good thing is, Flames can play at less than 50 percent like they are and can still go toe to toe with the Oil.

I think that may be it for me for the intermission panel for the rest of this series. Terrible.
I'll switch it back when the next period begins. Much more relaxing.

Perhaps Tanev is a much larger cog in the confidence wheel then many have imagined.

Let's hear more about McDavid... I wouldn't hate him so much if he didn't play for Edmonton but even then he has no personality. Not a guy you can use to sell the league in my opinion.

One thing I'll give the Oilers credit for is they never give up even after going down multiple goals. I'm guessing it's because they got so used to getting scored on throughout the season, but it seems impossible to put them in a hole that they can't climb out of. Flames on the other hand seem to get very lazy when they go up a couple after a quick start, maybe the best case scenario for the next game is a 0-0 tie after the first
|
Called it I guess? Strangely I feel more comfortable after this first period than either of the last 2 first periods. Maybe getting outskated and outworked by the Oilers for the first 20 minutes will get the Flames to stay dialed in for the 2nd, unlike the last 2 games
