I like our jersey. Prefer the retro but this one is great. Hardly horrendous.

Why are the Sportsnet West intermission panels so much better? Former players are way better than media types.

If Tkachuk could be the centerpiece for Eichel I think it would be done

Tkachuk and Hrudey definitely the two most disappointing parts of the game so far. Especially Hrudey. His Oilers fanboyishness feels like a betrayal.

why would anyone trade an elite 1C for a left winger?

One shot does not excuse general poor play. Ritchie is not NHL-calibre.

I will take Ritchie’s game on the forecheck last game each night. He adds a physical presence that this team needs. We also do not, nor will we have, a better option for that line without taking something away from the Lindholm or Backlund lines. And any option we would take from those lines (assuming Lindholm stays at center) make the top line very small.

I would be hesitant to give a bad skater a long term contract worth 9mil per in today’s NHL.
Tkachuk hasn’t looked good in a while and he looks lazy and disinterested.
If I was paying someone premium money like that when we know it’s a flat cap for the next couple years he better be a MAJOR contributor and Tkachuk is not that.

Tkachuk outscored Forsberg by 15 points last year. Arvidsson has less points than Tkachuk right now. Plus he is younger then them both

Sadly they're going to probably demand Mony or Lindy in addition to Chucky, and probably a draft pick on top of that.

I dunno, why would you pay skinner 10 million. Buffalo gonna Buffalo bro.
I can see Tkachuk ++ being a legit pull for teams because of his reputation.
This is of course assuming the current terrible play is temporary, if he reverts back to what we think of him then I will always rather have that player.

I feel like Darryl will know very soon which players will buy in and which will need to go, if he doesn't already know.

It's a problem if your highest paid player is consistently playing like your ~10th best player.

First sign of adversity under Darryl and Flames fans want to give Tkachuk away.
Let's calm down a bit.

Yeah. All 30. It's 30 God damn games after he put up 77 in 19 and then was on pace to about match that last year.

Big ####ing deal. Forsberg actually shows up when games matter. Can't say the same for Matty.
