They qualified Bennett after countless bad years.. I'm sure they won't feel bad about Tkachuk after a rough 30 games in a shortened year

I missed the first goal, but that Frankenberry tip was impossible to stop.

Compete! Play with some emotion, some verve. Enough with the dip the toe in style. Get on the puck (get on the forecheck).
Initiate. Stop watching to see what the other team will do. Get the pace up. Just skate and everything will fall into place. Come on boys.

No passion, energy, or emotion in their play. This is why they fall back into bad habits. They just can't sustain the fire needed to win most nights.

I don't agree with this at all.
Things aren't going well, and they have fumbled some pucks, but I don't see any lack of urgency or effort. In fact, I would say the energy level has been every bit as good as the prior three games.
The only difference is a boneheaded play by Lucic, and a flubbed clearing attempt on a PP that probably shouldn't even have happened.

What does Bennett have to do with the fact that 9mil is a lot of money for what you’re getting from Tkachuk?

No, Lindholm did. Ritchie's chance was an unscreened shot from way out.
One shot does not excuse general poor play. Ritchie is not NHL-calibre.

Puck is being repelled by our horrendous jerseys. Need to burn them at intermission.

The Oilers came out hard to start the game. When the lottery picks are on, they're a force. The Flames looked a bit shocked and put on their back feet, but they got stronger as the period went on. They're behind the eight ball, but the game is still far from over.

Tkachuk should be benched for a shift every time he tries a behind the legs pass

The point is it's a bad 30 games. How many quality seasons does a player have to have to get a bit of leeway when he is fighting it

First goal he had no chance on...it would have been the save of the year. Lucic gave McDavid the puck in the slot for no reason and he made a ridiculous pass.

Don’t disagree, however in addition, when are the top Fs going to start playing at the level they should be.

Tkachuk, a prospect and a first for Eichel. After Tkachuk's qualifying the $$ works...ish and he has enough league clout right now they may just go for it.
