This team is consistently playing sub-standard hockey. How can we endure the lackluster performance without being negative ? The only positive is that this is a short season and it could be a lifesaver.

I'm not sure I like that ad. 'right' the future. A guy can't make a robot unless he has the 'right' people helping him.

Flames can play better but what chances did Vancouver have that had a hope of going in?

Aside from that brutal turnover I actually thought it wasn't a bad period

Canucks just throwing a lot of low danger pucks at the net.
Watch this go WAAAAY over the panel's heads.

Edit: Wow, Bieska actually saw it as it was. Easy saves for Markstrom.

Then Elliott chimes in with Canucks coddling BS.

Yeah CGY doesn't like greasy goals apparently. CGY thinks it's about style points.

Well, Bieksa right off the bat talks about the perimeter chances from Vancouver without netfront presence. So that should satisfy some of you.

Anyway, overall, yes, the shots do not tell the story exactly... but it was still a bad period for the Flames. They were perhaps not under constant pressure (as you can tell by the fact they didn't take any penalties) but they also were basically never in the Canucks' end, and when they were they didn't do much.

That Perry story was the most Corey Perry thing ever. What a piece of crap. Should have put him in the garbage with his stick.

Glad others have noticed the shots are inaccurate. I noticed a floater heading well wide that Marky plucked out of the air that they added one for.

Doesn't change how garbage we've been.

That Canucks forecheck was relentless. Flames need the simplify in their own end, chip it out, and get some chances off the rush.

Yeah that period was 18.5 minutes of crap with the odd heartbeat. Frustrating to watch.
