Tampa are paper tigers? Honestly asking for opinions...they got their asses kicked. Swept with multiple blowouts.
Flames won 4-0, lost in OT, and got blown out
I think the BJs are just a lot better than people give them credit for. Look at that roster. Alex Wennberg is on the 4th line! They just needed time to gel and develop chemistry after the trade deadline. They also needed Bobrovsky to be good. They are big, skilled, fast, all in the prime.
I could easily see them as the cup champions.

Neal is an easy target as the scapegoat for some posters here, but that is classic armchair fans. Sit Neal in the pressbox, and watch the Flames go out without even a whimper. Imagine the message in the room when management decides the guy who has been to the Finals the past two seasons should sit out. Ridiculous.
I would put James Neal in the top six tonight.
He is terrible on the ice doing the actual hockey part though. That doesn't concern you?
Calm, but intense
Not running around getting out of position to make a hit
Tough on the puck
Keep gaps small when CO is entering the zone
Tied or up after the 1st period
Do these things and they will be successful

The Avs probably aren't attacking Lindholm's side of the ice much. I'd be curious to see the stats for it. If I were the Avs, my cycle and zone entries are coming from the side that Johnny is at.
Honestly, there's only so much Lindholm can do out there defensively. He can't cover 3 positions.
The bigger disappointment is Monahan. He is the centremen, he's suppose to be the defensive anchor, not Lindholm, but Mony has just been terrible defensively. He's weak and he's slow.
Zone entries don't usually get associated with defensive positions though.
Some lines play last guy in high guy, some lines rotate the high guy, some lines designate a high guy ... and all three have to track back and close the gaps so the defenders can step up on the rush and negate them.
So I don't really see a left or right side zone entry issue ... it's how many of the three are on their horse and how many are coasting.
He still hits hard and can pound anyone on this team. I did move on time for you and your hate for him to move on.
I dont think any one hates Ferland, but this is the dumbest time to bring this argument up.. Lindholm and Hanifin has great seasons and fit in almost seamlessly. Ferland and Hamilton had good seasons as well.
Ferland on this team right now is an irrelevant argument, and would not sway this series at all. He’s not 2015 playoff Ferland anymore
Hope that Tampa sweep strikes some fear into the Flames and underscores that only through hard work and sacrifice can a team advance. Nothing is given and the worst team in the conference can always oust the top team.

I think they have enough fear in them from what Iv seen

I hope they don't panic too much though. I thought Cooper made some remarks after game one or two that sounded more like panic than urgency.
Or, conversely, the Flames gut check themselves, pick themselves off the carpet, and have their finest moment. As an optimist, I choose to believe in them. GFG!
Thanks. I needed this shot of optimism. Feeling a lot better about the game now.

Ferland has played one full game in his series and is out indefinitely...it's more trolling than a legit debate IMO
I am not convinced that is always the correct response. There is a tonne of momentum and good fortune that contributes to playoff success, and with such a young, untested group I would be reluctant to conclude from one or two seasons that the core makeup is the problem.
Even when a team disappoints sometimes the best thing to do is to stay the course.
This is Johnny and Mony's third trip to the postseason. The "inexperience" card can only be played for so long. I agree with you though. I doubt a significant piece gets moved.
