I understand that. I do agree that it's overblown in some instances, although I do think we also sometimes forget that this is the same Francis who called TJ Brodie "weak" for spending personal time with his fiancée with MS. There are reasons that people don't like the guy. For me, I think he's a decent analyst sometimes but he occasionally loses sight of what's really important.

I'm not necessarily saying I would do this, but if you wanted to trying something unconventional with the 3rd line, thought Jankowski was not playing very well, and thought Bennett was a better winger than centreman, you could try Czarnik at centre. I believe Czarnik has played centre in the past.
It would just be:
Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Bennett - Czarnik - Neal
Mangiapane - Ryan - Hathaway
I don't know if I like that. It may be a bad idea, but its an idea. You would have to try it against some bad opposition (before the playoffs).
And it's assuming Czarnik has played centre and would be reasonably good at it. I don't know if either of these assumptions is reasonable.

Outside of that one mistake the Flames have played solid. Not a ton of offensive pressure, but they are not giving up much either.
Strong 3rd should result in a a 4-1 W.
