Sorry, nothing personal, but the Francis hate is rather lame. He is paid to give color and opinion. He will not satisfy everyone. Nor will Friedman or Duhatchek.

I just caught up to where the game is and the one thing I have to say is when Neal comes back, I think they should break up the 3rd line instead of the 1st, 2nd, or 4th. I think you take Czarnik out.
Doc, Bread, and Hath are playing so well. That play from Doc to Bread to Hath was beautiful. Doc made a beautiful saucer pass and Bread just took it and knew almost immediately where to go with it. That's the kind of depth the Flames will need in the playoffs. You cannot break up the 4th line.

Maybe just referring to Gio being a team captain versus Hedman who doesn't wear a letter I don't think? Who knows. Francis is weird.

He may not be a 3rd line center but I think he could be a third line player. I really want to see Bennett and Jankowski swap responsibilities, I think Janko's game could work nicely on the wing and Bennett's game would open up down the middle (he was awful in that first period and it was all because he isn't a natural winger and plays too North-South in that role)

Yeah Janko’s play as a centre has been rough, but you can also view this year as a development year. Any struggles he’s had this year hopefully pay off next year, and even with his struggles at centre the team has succeeded.

I mean, it's impossible to prove a negative. It's just weird, baseless rhetoric from Francis. He doesn't cover the Lightning, so how is he in any way qualified to comment on the leadership capabilities of their players?

Janko can be a really good player here. He has warts, but he is still very raw and with his size you just never know. Love his PK and shot.
I worry about Bennett. What is there to like? He hits and can fight. Anything else? Hard to say.

Yeah I disagreed with pretty much everything he said during that segment, but the point totals we was showing were rookie season vs rookie season.
