Id like to see Chucky take more shots. Too many attempted passes a touch passes lately.

Can't blame him IMO. The refusal to shoot for the majority of that period was the issue.
i'm not criticising you specifically but people go through all of his allowed goals every time smith plays and argue how he's can't be blamed completely. one can do the same exercise with almost every allowed goal in this league, and i don't think it yields much. nhl level goalies are supposed to make the saves they should and some they shouldn't. even if the 2nd goal wasn't his fault there's absolutely no way the caps should be ahead just based on the skaters' play so far. i'm beyond tired of watching smith piss away points.

we'll see how the rest of the game goes but right now he's sitting at a 85% save percentage. it's not good enough

I don't get this, Smith has the worst save% in the league but we're supposed to be happy with his play? And this is on a team with the 2nd best goal differential in the NHL.

All fair, but I do think the team could benefit from him just freezing the puck for a faceoff on some of these plays. The team needs to settle in after a long break and the helter skelter style probably isn't helping.
