Did he have a choice though? From my understanding nobody else offered the avs diddly-squat.

It has been speculated that Iggy didn't want to come back to Calgary...who knows

Obviously the Flames are a far superior team, 9th place finish would be a fitting end to his career

Somebody on here said Burke was asked at a Q&A after the deadline about Iggy. I can't remember the third point but he said the first was that they didn't want to disrespect his legacy by putting him on the third or fourth line and the other was that "The player wasn't interested" or something similar to that.
