I assume just last goal, but GWG logic would give it to Gaudreau as the second scorer in a 3-1 type game.

Personally I go with the goal that ends it wins it, so tonight I would give it to Monahan. If the game ends with a save and not a goal, I give it to the go ahead goal. Just my take on it. I'm not sure if there's an actual rule or process to determine this. It's possible it could be Gaudreau's goal as the winner.
EDIT: Just read the Stars game thread on HF. One guy was posting about how he's glad the Stars didn't trade for Hamilton. I like to think tonight was Karma.

Why does it seem that the Flames always have an extra day off between games? I was hoping they would get right back at it tomorrow.

I'm glad I watched this one live instead of DVRing it. I loved Hamilton's game last night. Lots of offense and smart plays, plus he added a physical element in his own zone. I really felt for him when the puck went in off his skate after he flattened the Star in front of our net and I cheered loudly when he scored.

Nice to see shades of last year for sure. Coming from behind when they have no business winning, kinda like that Bruins game from last season. Really hoping we can put some wins together and get back into the thick of things. Perfect time to take advantage of a weak division, but unfortunately we are part of why it is weak right now lol
Go Flames!

Anyone have a Bud Light Red light? All season there's been anywhere between a 3-5 second delay after a Flames goal to the light kicking in but during the shootout last night the light was going on a split second before my TV feed. It was weird as I knew the game was over before Monahan put the puck in the net on my TV.

Are you on Telus? I saw someone else complaining that the PGT was up before he even saw the Monahan winner. He was on Telus so there's obviously a delay.

The announcers also seemed to be a split second ahead of the game. Ball announced Monahan's goal in the shootout before it was actually in. It was noticeable enough that my fiance commented on it, and she doesn't watch hockey.
I think the video feed must have been a little slow.
This was on Shaw.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Hamilton clearly dips, just look at his bottom lip in any given interview. Packed. Same goes for Treliving & Burke. Not seen during interviews mind you but in the press box its apparent.

Yeah, it seems to depend on the day. I have mine set for the Habs and the Flames, so its extra fun on days they play at the same time.

shootout goals do not count towards GWG or OT goals or even goals for stat purposes

The audio was half a second ahead of the video at my place and I'm on Shaw, too. Drives me nuts when I hear the puck hit the boards or a stick before I see it. Not sure whether it is a Shaw thing or a Sportsnet thing. At least it isn't happening every game like it used to be.

I know they don't count as goals, but at one time I thought I read they counted as GWGs. I could well be mistaken, though.

I want to get one so bad, but after reading reviews on it, yeah it seems the delay is an issue. Deal breaker for me.

Just got caught up on the game thread. BBF were you seriously getting drunk off of shots of goldschlager? Talk about flashbacks to 1999 for me. Trust me once you get sick off that stuff, you won't go back.

Agreed. He was cheating off the post because he figured Spezza would pass.
And on the third goal, Smid forced the shooter to the side with good positioning. He did make contact with Ramo when he turned to cross back to the other side of the net, but I imagine he never thought Ramo would be so far out of the net at that point. Ramo cheated to his right when he didn't have to because Smid had the angle. It cost him.
So he cheated twice last night and guessed wrong.

Of course not, which is why its hard to figure out which shootout goal would he considered the winner in this case.

What a come back. Great to see considering the atmosphere in the Dome early in the game. I don't think I've ever seen the Saddledome that disinterested. Ot was rocking in the third.
Im hungover. GFG
