I actually don't know why Gordon wasn't in a better position to be waved home. I would like to see a clip of him running the bases on that play. As usually a passed ball to the wall + a bobble with a half decent runner would usually equal an attempt at an inside the park homerun. Did he stumble? Did he think the ball was caught? Something tells me he wasn't running full steam the whole way otherwise there should have been a play at the plate.

He's slow.

He sure wasn't slow earlier when he tagged up from 2nd base on a play to LF.

He looked like he was limping almost. He looked slow but like he was trying.

can't have collisions anymore..

i think he would have been out by 30 feet.

Bumgarner put on the best pitching performance I have ever seen.

Nothing like Chevy guy to follow a legendary performance. That was remarkably hard to watch.

That's where he is, but after given the stop sign. A full wave home he's probably 5 paces ahead of that. I dunno. Likely out at home by a mile, but given the situation and what was happening on the mound, I think you take your chance on a bad throw or a bobble. Tough call to make in real time. Would have been fun to watch though.

I definitely get that line of thinking, but I'd rather leave the game in one of my own guy's hands then taking a chance of SF blowing a routine play.

The guy they picked to ramble about Chevrolet sounded like he was going to have a heart attack. Talk about being nervous and all, i'm surprised he was able to finish his speech.

The way Bumgarner was pitching, trying to steal home would have been thier best shot.

True.

But, you're also putting the game back in Bumgarner's hands by doing so.

Damn. I just wanted more baseball!

I just want to give Chevy Man a hug. Poor guy suddenly realized millions were watching and froze. I hope he gets to go on a talk show and make good.

Hopefully he gets a promotion and no more making speeches to millions of TV viewers. I don't think he would survive another situation like that.
