Yep, same for me.
Only home games have issues.
It wasn't bad the last couple of games because they were away.

What the hell do we have to do to get SN to notice and take action? It really is embarrassing. Kerr called the no goal a good 2 seconds before it went in. Totally ruins the experience. 12 more years of this garbage?
Millions said he would contact SN and let them know so do they just not care about their viewers? Do they not care that Kerr calls a goal when it is still on the stick of the player? Do they not care they are ruining their broadcasts? SN is garbage and I hope they go bankrupt because of the new deal and TSN takes over. Garbage station.

You just answered your own question. After this long (2 years?), if they haven't addressed it they aren't going to bother to for the remainder of the season. They still get your eyes on the game so no loss of ad revenue.

Sadly you are right and it is obvious they only care about ad revenue since their broadcasts are of high school level quality. Complete garbage station.

They can't be that callous, can they? Maybe callous isn't the right word. Maybe the word is "hopeless"?
I've griped more than once directly to the network and they just ignore me. I guess they are happy with their amateur hour reputation.

Tonight the sync issue has been very noticeable, and Puckluck is right, it ruins the experience. I'm with Shaw on channel 302 fwiw.

I only notice it during home games airing on the Flames companion channel. Road games, and games on SNW don't have the noticeable lag for me.

Amazing that no one at Sportsnet does any QA / QC on this. Does anybody from their own company actually watch the games, with audio, on normal TV?

I may be alone in this, but I think Simmer has made progress.

Well, to make progress in this league, you've got to make progress on a nightly basis in order to make progress. This is what he's doing, making progress on a nightly basis and that's what you have to do to make progress in this league.
(...no, I still don't like Simmer. He, and as a side note, Healy, are my two least favourite broadcasters)

Are we sure this isn't a provider issue?
I am on Bell and have never had/noticed this issue. By the sounds of things it should be pretty apparent if goals are called before they occur.
Maybe this is a Shaw issue and not a SNW issue?

And again, Simmer is going to talk about something that he has never talked about or something that is unrelated to what Kerr just said. And again, it grates on my nerves. And again. And again. And again.
He's like the Chinese food lady in Dude Where's My Car?

I'm on Bell too and it's a big issue with me. It could be a digital versus analogue sound issue. I run the video and audio through an AV receiver so it's all in digital but if you run the sound straight to your TV and your TV doesn't use digital audio or you feed it through RCA audio cables, you may not have a problem.

last night the audio/video sync was really bad.
i switched over to the oilers game for a bit and schultz (i think) bombed one off the crossbar from the blueline. the sad thing was you could hear the 'doink' before the puck left his stick.... so it's not just flames broadcasts
