Carney at least has the experience, know-how and intelligence to seeminy guide us through these times. I'll be happy to crap all over him if he fails. The Cons have done...nothing overall to convince me other than name-calling and preview of what a mini US-style Cons government would bring. Already have enough crap of that with the UPC here in Alberta, so the federal Libs will balance that out.

Happy to be swayed in the next few hours, but as I type this still no Cons costed platform? God damn amateur hour over there.

Carney is an environmental activist replacing Justin Trudeau but keeping basically the same liberal team in place. He doesn't have political experience, and has been advising Justin Trudeau economically for the last 5yrs. So if you like the way Justin Trudeau led Canada for the last decade, and you like the current state of Canada, then you will also like the Carney led liberals as nothing will change, except maybe some increased spending and worsening economic conditions.

It’s so funny to me that a genuine ask for reasons to vote FOR the Conservatives was met with not a single selling feature of the CPC, and yet still, somehow, included mention of Trudeau.

That's why this particular attack is at least partially effective - Canadians have seen headlines for years (the CBC reported on it 2023) about the Liberals hiring consultants to advise on everything, including consultants. It's hard to say that none of that is going to happen now, considering the Minister who issued that contract at Natural Resources is still in that role.

Anyone who would give the liberals a 4th term obviously likes the current situation in Canada.

It doesn't matter who you like or dislike, the liberals don't deserve a 4th term. Voting for them is rewarding their record for the past decade.

Well if you like the way things are then vote accordingly, this is a really simple concept.

I personally can't think of anything I don't like about the CPC, the platform sounds perfectly fine to me and better then the liberal one.
