Couterier isnt their best player. Ghost is pretty 1 dimensional. When deal fell apart thats when flames moved onto gustavson.

Seriously I am at a loss as to why Philly does that. Unless they plan on converting Giroux back to centre, that trade leaves them with centre depth of Kevin Hayes, Derek Grant, Nate Thompson and Morgan Frost.
Why are there so many proposals including Couturier? He's absolutely Philadelphia's best player (and at this point it's not particularly close, honestly). He's on a ridiculous contract. He's a #1 centre at both ends of the ice. Why are they moving him?

Not after the season and playoffs Gaudreau just had. His value has never been lower than it is right now.
If I had to guess, we're looking at something like the Phil Kessel to Pittsburgh return.

Not a chance. If Couterier was coming back they would have done everything in their power to get the money to work. I’d even go so far to say they would trade a good player for far less than face value to bring in one of the best 200’ centers in the game.

0 chance they trade Couturier, arguably their most important player and most important position (outside of Hart) for a butter-soft winger heading into the playoffs. No media member has even hinted at the possibility of such a trade. It's clearly just not even close to being true.

I don’t believe it. But I agree with Bonded. If that trade was actually on the table but Treliving couldn’t make the money work, fire him now. Couturier is head and shoulders more valuable that Gaudreau.

I doubt anything serious was on the table for Gaudreau at the deadline...
We'll be hearing plenty about #13 at the draft. I suspect he'll be moved then.

here are some ideas for Gaudreau trades that I think actually make sense:
Gaudreau to Carolina for 13th overall, Niederreiter, and Jake Bean
Gaudreau to Florida for 12th overall, Vatrano, and Owen Tippett

Yes
You have to look at why those deals didn’t get done
Which were largely for reasons out of his control like players refusing to come here
