Monahan during the season is good player, we need him. But if he is the best C of the team for playoff is bad thing. I guess it is not his fault, but the team must to do something.

C'mon man, dish out the details.
I really want to be pissed off again at how the Flames just missed out on another high end center.

If the Caps lose out and look to make some changes, what about something around Gaudreau for Tom Wilson?
Not sure what else the Caps would add, if anything, but Wilson brings a top six RHS and size and snarl. He's still just 26 too, and signed long term.

Haha. I'd still try to add Josh Anderson too.
They would rag doll teams hopefully.

I don’t believe that Philly deal but it would have been great for Calgary.
I call BS because the salary difference is 1.35M Flames could have made that work and not traded for Gustafson

At the end of all this there will be 30 teams who weren't good enough...plenty of possibilities

I imagine he would be hard to get out of Washington. I think they seem him as a key guy. But I admit that I've never considered the Caps.
I would target McMichael plus a roster player to offset some of the salaries. Say Lars Eller.

I very much don't believe that. You pay someone to take Jankowski, Ryan, or whatever

That would be amazing. Hope they revisit over the offseason if that was really discussed.

Not true.
This is: A) either from a hack reporter somewhere outside of Calgary or Canada, otherwise this would have been widely discussed or B) made up as part of some silly forum chatter amongst fans who have no knowledge.
This wasn’t reported anywhere by any legitimate source.
Go ahead and prove me wrong.

If that's true (which I sincerely doubt) that would be one of the most lopsided trades in recent memory.
Why are the Flyers adding to their best player in a trade for Gaudreau?

Sounds like something that ding dong at hockeybuzz would say. Which means there's a 0% chance it's true.
