Alberta being under-representated at the Federal level in both the commons and the senate is absolutely a legitimate issue.

I think treason is the wrong word to use for the general public wanting to join the US. In a free and democratic society the right of self determination is important.

Fair enough, and I agree that free speech is hugely important.
I do think anyone trying to actively solicit a foreign country to take over Canada is on dangerous ground. So I'd say campaigning for their stupid ideas here is fine, going to the US to try and organize a takeover is iffy.
But really I was just virtue signalling that I think they're idiots even though I do agree with their position that Alberta is underrepresented Federally within confederation.

So the government is claiming new info about Mentzelopoulos emailing herself while CEO, breaching her employment agreement, and is updating it's court claim to add that to the reason for firing her.
Well...
Quote:
Second, can the employer, whether it was AHS or the Government of Alberta, fire someone for improper reasons and then say, after the fact, we’ve just discovered that a different firing offence did take place, so our improper act was proper after all, even though we didn’t know why it was proper at the time we were acting improperly?
|
https://albertapolitics.ca/2025/03/a...-it-fired-her/
This is why we fired you! Guilty!
But you didn't know about that at the time, so how could you fire her for it?
Guilty!
####in' clowns. Our tax dollars at work here.

Yep. Timeline clearly doesn't track.
This is what, the third reason they've given for why they terminated her.? They're panicking. She kept receipts and they're trying to keep em out if the case. Would love to hear a legal opinion on if they'll be able to keep this emails out

Your narrow perspective for comparison fails to consider the rising costs incurred by the AISH Recipients,. Our program has a record number of people on AISH defaulting on fares,. Costs of living with a disability have increased as various supplies for daily living have been delisted, certain medications are no longer covered. Wheelchair repairs have budget limits. medical procedures require multiple trips to facilities as nothing can be addressed promptly
Acceptance into the AISH program once meant access to a variety of supportive programs. there is a multi -year wait for rent subsidies ( an even longer wait for wheelchair accessible housing).
I am only on the sidelines but my observation is that it costs a lot to live with a disability in "ruban" alberta.

Alberta is not badly under represented in the House. If there is a province that is under represented, it is Ontario.

I didnt see where there was a transcript of her pandering.
I did see that she posted on twitter after and then edited her post, first she called it a 'trade war' with the US and changed it to a 'trade dispute'

How did these ####ers get my phone number?
Do you support the Alberta government's personal income tax cut to save families up to $1500?
Reply
1. Yes
2. No
What a stupid question.

Why ask a nuanced question when a simple, badly worded one can get you the answer you want?
