Soucy probably gets the rest of this series. He hurt McBaby's feelings. DOPS will check to see how many games Conner wants hi. To get.

It's too bad he wasn't the one who cross-checked McDiver to receive potential. discipline. Guy has had a brutal series. Canucks might be better if he had to sit.

I haven't watched, but not surprising.
Vancouver has a random group of players.

Looked like Soucy was trying to crosscheck McDavid in the chest, in retaliation for the slash. Instead, McDavid gets pushed forward by Zadorov, and as he's falling, that cross check catches McDavid in the neck/jaw.
Honestly, don't think Soucy did anything wrong. Even McDavid doesn't seem to:

McDavid largely declined to comment on the end-of-game incident that has left Canucks defenceman Carson Soucy facing a hearing with the league's department of player safety. He would only state the incident was "part of a heated series."
The Oilers star did, however, comment on the physicality of the series, which he said he's enjoying.
"It’s fun to be a part of,“ McDavid said of the all-Canadian matchup.

Can see taking some kind of disciplinary action against Zadorov for being the 3rd man in. That should be the end of it though.

McDavid was hardly hit that hard anyways, the way he dove like he got shot was embarrassing and he got what he deserved.
When your first instinct it to crumble down, that is what you get.

I think Zadorov already got a 5k fine and case is closed there... no suspension possible now, just remains to be seen what Soucy gets, a fine over 5K or actual games (1-5) are the range of possibilities for the phone call

You can understand why Oiler fans and pundits are confused.

It's kind of interesting that Zadorov and Soucy get discipline...but McDavid (the slash that starts the whole thing) and Hyman (hits Zadorov with his own crosscheck to the face) get absolutely nothing.

I am shocked! Shocked, I tell you! That should have been a lifetime suspension. I had zero respect before. Now there is even less. Does the DOPS video ignore the two-handed slash?

With the Oilers getting the benefit of every call so far this series, I'm not really all that surprised.

So to date, in this round,
We have seen:
Two hard thrown elbows aimed at heads by Trouba (that thankfully missed).
A sucker punch by Bennett.
A slew foot by Kane (considered by many to be the most dangerous play in hockey).
A slash to the testicles by Ryan.
An intentional cross check to the face by Hyman.
The NHL DOPS has only seen fit to suspend the unintentional cross-check.
Oh Parros, never change, you cave-man ####head.

Wow what a complete joke! Hyman should be suspended a game and McDavid fined. If I'm Canucks I post Hyman's video to force the NHL's hand. One player shouldn't be more important than another.

When's the JR presser calling for Parros to be fired? Cmon, I need some more entertainment.

These decisions make more sense when you accept that the NHL is a bloodsucking capitalist entertainment provider, not a court of law. They don’t have to be fair.
This decision makes perfect sense in the “court of NHL profit”
-Star player involved. McDavid sells tickets, Soucy doesn’t.
-Creates some storylines + drives fan engagement.

Are we forgetting the Canucks best player got hit from behind and went head first into the boards and the Oilers never even received a 2 minute penalty? The series has clearly been called one way.
Does revenue sharing exist in the playoffs? Wondering why the rest of the league doesn't seem to care.

I am surprised that there isn't at least a meaningless fine given to McDavid. I know that it isn't going to be a suspension to a top player but at least a fine makes some sense... If only to say. Yeah both teams were involved.
Is there any potential that Hyman gets a suspension for this or is he protected because he wrote a children's book.
