Maybe in the 3rd period when Canucks just defending. Aside from then the Nucks have been the superior team, including in game 2.

I have seen the fine for Z, but nothing on a hearing. Is this for real? If the NHL goes ahead with this, astoundingly poor judgement to be so obvious.

Rumour has it that the results of the hearing will have vast consequences for the future of the NHL.

Credible sources tell me that McDavid is LIVID and SEETHING. Bettman will have his hands full. Oilers deserve better.

I hope Soucy gives them hell. He has about as solid a case for a non suspension as I've seen. If he hits any other Oiler (not named Connor or Leon) nothing comes of this.

But like I said earlier, probably a suspension.. Should have taken a few teeth with him.

Kane smiling was awesome. If there was ever a face in dire need of a punch to the teeth that was it.

Canucks should blow it up poster size and hang it in their room.

Lindholm scored the Canucks first goal of the playoffs in a game 1 they ultimately came back and won by a goal (EN aside), scored an OT winner to complete another comeback, and has now scored a GWG in the second round. I think he's justified the acquisition cost.

The Canucks needed to do two things to make it a success: win a round with him playing an important role, and not get swept in round 2. Check and check.

No fine for McDiver's role in that scrum eh? What a joke. Not that a fine will hurt him, but giving him nothing just shows he is exempt from the rules.

When the Zadorov/Kane thing happened, McDavid was being pretty aggressive to one of the officials. Captains should have a little more class.

Has there been any word on Demko? I thought it was speculated he could be back by game 4, maybe it was game 5.
With Silovs holding the fort for now and the canucks up 2-1, maybe they don't have to rush Demko back. Maybe depends how game 4 goes?
Wondering if Demko will be rusty at all when he returns. I guess you still want your potentially rusty starter vs. your third string goalie.

Edit: Nm. Just saw an article from yesterday he's just started taking shots. Could return game 6 or 7.

Put it this way. If the Oilers were playing the Oilers which Oilers team would you want to win?

That's exactly where I'm at on this series.

F em both.
Way late but Scorch.

I remember Darryl Sutter saying that a players first instinct is to put their stick up when someone lunges at them like that.

McDavid slashed him, and got pushed into a player. Not sure what the outcry is for.

McDavid might the biggest loser this league as soon, one of the most unlikeable stars players ever. Crosby has a reputation but he quickly grew up, McDavid seems to be doing the opposite.

To me the rules are pretty simple.

If a star player takes a two handed hack at you because he's frustrated and exhausted after playing half the game while the rest of his useless team did absolutely nothing, you can't retaliate. It's as simple as that.
