As of today, I have RR, chid, and Larissa all confirmed as full time. BanffGirl wants to play, but will miss some time at the biginning of the season, and possibly at the end as well. Chid will also miss a couple weeks, but she'll be there for the bulk of the year. Larissa says she'll be there pretty much every week, and RR is almost always there.
So what shall we do here? We've basically got 3 1/2 girls, plus three that want to spare. 10 guys equals a grand, 3.5 girls is $1350... League fees are $1450 (I was wrong earlier about $1550). We do have the Pete's money $500, but I'd prefer if we actually covered our total costs ourselves, and used the Pete's money for a bat (or two) and possibly new shirts.

I kinda want 4 full time girls plus a half. Assuming that one girl is fairly likely to be absent every week, we basically end up with 4 girls per week, which means that each girl misses half a game - same as the guys (more or less). And if it ended up that girls were sitting too much, there's no harm in going with 6 guys and 4 girls on the field to even it up a bit for playing time.

FKA - you're the manager. Figure it out. I want $1450 to pay for the league fees, but I also want everyone to be happy and no one to get shafted for playing time. With my wonky knee, I'll be pretty generous about sitting (or playing backcatcher as much as I can), so that'll help on the guy side... Girls? Thoughts?

As for the girl situation, I think I have already let you know my opinion......... I don't mind sitting every now and then and I think we should have at least 4 fulltime girls on the team.
And what do you mean I am almost always there???? I don't think I have missed more than two games since joining the team!!

Honestly guys, I don't really care either way. I'm hoping to be gestating another child in the summer of 2011, so I'm kind of a 1-year deal. If that means FKA's girlfriend is a better choice, then go for it!!

A decent bat should be a priority imo. Also, I'd be willing to chip in extra for the bat or new shirts. Our original shirts are lookin' pretty worn out. Those vest type jerseys like Shawnski's Warriors wear can't be too expensive. Slava!

4x4 had the info, but he's probably used it for kindling to start a fire in a campground some where.

Also we get 15% off their new store. 4x4 has all of the savings cards.

Get to know you tourneys (Free!!) first weekend in may and last weekend in may @ Okotoks on deck.

Season starts May 2. Rainouts are going to be July 9-11 and as soon as we have a rainout the games will be scheduled, if we miss we are dinged for the preformance bond. $50 bucks for first forfeit.

Also looking over the rules, we can sub in and out at any time as long as we go back to same positions.

And if we want we can have 8 guys bat but we also have to have 4 girls bat if we do this.

As for jerseys, WTF are you guys doing to them? Mine looks better than new!

Also, free tourneys sound like a fine opportunity for drinking, shenanigans, drunken shenanigans and general hijinks. Sign us up or whatnot.

Finally, why oh why are we giving important information to 4x4?

I'm way ahead of you and can get a good deal on some stuff. I will either pay for these myself (which means Locke gets his wish of a jersey with my face and autograph emblazoned across the front) or bring the ideas to the team for your opinions.

Seriously though I'm in favour of a decent jersey and while I'll stick a logo on there for tax write-off pruposes only, I really don't care other than that. I would prefer to get "real" baseball jerseys just because I think that they look cooler, but I'm more than happy to hear from the team on this one. We can also go with numbers and names or just numbers or whatever we prefer.

FKA: Is there not money in the kitty from last year?
If so, combined with the extra from this year, we could get a decent bat, plus money into new jerseys.

I also say, bat (s) should be the priority. We need to level that part of the playing field at the least.

Batting 8 and 4 would be a good idea when all 5 ladies show up. Long time between at bats, but more people involved.
