My original name back in the pre-2001 FOI days was Squid. Then when the forum switched over to CalgaryPuck, I signed up as Skoda. At some point I requested to change my handle to FlamesAddiction. That was so long ago, I can't even remember when.

I think it was Chucks cup because Kobasew he scored a hat trick in a 7-3 loss to Colorado in a game where Phill Sauve got into a fight after getting lit up and Sutter got rid of him the next day. When the Flames signed Bertuzzi they gave him his old name back.

And in between it was just my full name. But I worked a day for the Flames in their graphic design department and it was immediately weird as they brought up some of my posts in the interview so I asked to change to just my initials here. Also that department was a disaster so I left immediately as I could tell it would have been a nightmare.

Funny enough that change has stuck as friends and teammates that I met through CalgaryPuck exclusively call me AC. I can't escape it now.

Had to change my name. Long story. Interesting hindsight having my actual last name as my username was a bad idea. It’s weird that Hulkrogan changed to his actual name.

Interesting to have run into long time Calgary Puckers in the wild. I coached with one for most of a minor hockey season without knowing each other was on Calgary puck.

There's been tons of name changes. What happens is someone starts a thread every 3 or 4 years and complains about name changes not happening and in that thread the mods suddenly change like 15 - 20 usernames.

But if posters just ask for random reasons (like Gio4PM wanting to change because Gio got traded) there's zero chance they'll do it. There hasn't been one of those threads in a lot of years, so maybe someone should start it and we'll see some name changes.

AC was the same as MMF in that they had their real name in their username and as the board and internet grew it became less safe to have your real name out there like they did, so they both changed it. Although MMF had his real name brought up many times after the fact by posters, which wasn't good at all.

I remember having beers with my old landman at his buddies business before a flames game. Somehow calgpuck came up and i said I was fotze. It was cool. Russic was there, Ktrain, Fatso. They didn't believe me. I think I had a dart with ktrain while russic frowned upon us for drinking and smoking. Fatso was a really smart dude, probably why he doesn't post here now.

Got hammed with hulkrogan in bridgeland one night. Dude is tall as Fata. He is way less woke than he's showing he is here.
