You can only change a government with ballots or bullets.

Ballots just failed.

Sounds like David Eby of BC pulled red state liquor out of BC. https://www.reddit.com/r/vancouver/s/NaEQB6bBxS

Gotta fight back.

There are some super expensive honeys out there. I don't know where they come from or if it is possible to farm those bees but a tiny bottle sells for like $100. It isn't the craziest idea.

Are you even arguing in good faith? You dismissed simple non-skewering options out right as well. Any idea you view as "gasoline on a fire". There are options beyond watching the fire or tossing gasoline. Canada has options to fight the fire, as people have laid out several times, and your passive approach ain't gonna work.

You're either arguing in bad faith or totally naive

Greg Abott (Texas) says that their economy is larger than Canadas and they’re not afraid to use it (paraphrasing). Obviously, this is economic warfare, or becoming that incredibly quickly.

First, Nova Scotia will limit access to provincial procurement for American businesses. We will look for opportunities to cancel existing contracts and will maintain the option to reject bids outright because of President Trump’s unlawful tariffs.

Second, the cost of tolls at the Cobequid Pass will double for commercial vehicles from the United States, effective Monday, February 3.

Finally, we will direct the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation to remove all alcohol from the United States from their shelves effective Tuesday, February 4

Would have to take a closer look at the implications of this on the beer side of things, but my guess is the biggest impact here is on bourbon. Wine is overwhelmingly the 3 western D States.

And your aggressive approach will? I suppose we'll see since it isn't up to us.

And that's the this #### could get so much worse scenario. We not only left ourselves incredibly economically dependant to the US. But our main transportation of oil and Gas stupidly goes through the US. We would have to start shipping massively by train, which would screw our food shipments from west to east.
Funny was just chatting with a buddy and he mentioned the risk Trump shuts down Line 5 to retaliate.

As a Canadian I cannot stand arrogant Canadians. “Dummy Americans” all over the place you hear. You do it think it’s possible, you are dumb and dumb people don’t see smarter people winning every time.

They have us bent over and are ramming and 50% of you are talking about how stupid they are. STFU.

We have nothing except power holdbacks on the west and Ontario areas.

But, fata me, our Owls are unreal. And our air quality slays the US air. Pieces of crap.

Not putting retaliatory tariffs on US goods would be the worst case scenario for Canada. It would decimate the economy if they went down that route and hurt all Canadians. On behalf of Canadians I hope they do put tariffs on.

Because there is, to my knowledge, no currently existing infrastructure to manufacture. A threat is only credible if it can be acted upon.

You've summed it beautifully. Loaded with pain pills and mixed with whiskey, but beautiful nonetheless.

I think we should shutdown Twitter in Canada. Low cost targeted retaliation.

The sooner it ends the sooner we get back to normal. A 25% import Tarrif ####s a lot of the economy. We are better fighting back than appeasement.
